Ashina: The Red Witch

More of an "okay" review than a full recommendation. While I did finish the game (after playing My Big Sister) I still don't really understand the overall narrative. I think in trying to be mysterious and cryptic, the dev has forgotten to actually spend time being clear with the big narrative reveals, so for me the story fell flat. It felt like maybe there were some translational issues? While there wasn't anything overtly wrong, you could tell it wasn't written by a native English speaker. That said, the interactions between Ash and the other characters in the world that happen along the journey are done really well, and that was enough to pull me through. The artwork is also great, with some excellent animation and sprite work. It was a world I did actually enjoy exploring and learning about. While the narrative may not have been strong, the world-building was really good and a strong suit. Overall I'd only recommend the game if you like the look of the world, or have played other games in the series and want to dive deeper into the story (even though it may not be as easy to follow as it should be).

其实应该算中评？ + 喜欢这游戏的氛围，感觉很像《千与千寻》 + 力之城的音乐好听 ± 剧情感觉挺有深度，但恕我理解能力差，一周目实在是没理清，感觉中文社区也不像有什么讨论度的样子 ± 隐藏要素较多，不参考攻略很难集齐，但如果照着攻略来的话一周目就可以全成就 - 系统很一般，每次启动游戏 / 回到标题界面都得选语言，存档位只有 5 个根本不够用 - 解谜流程较为平庸，基本是到处通马桶
