Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.29/day in the week to Jul 31 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
“Godforsaken. No other word for it. A murder so brutal it made the whole town of Asbury Pines look itself in the mirror. We work, we raise kids, we do our best, we let time run its course, and then we’re still left scratchin’ our heads. Why did this evil have to happen?”
- Rodney “Buzz” Snow, Sheriff of Asbury Pines

More than 50 people, plants, and animals with unique stats and backgrounds emerge across the history of Asbury Pines. They drive the mystery with their personal stories, age across timelines, and contribute to the resource growth needed to progress.

"Story-based idle game" is a weird mashup. And while it does make sense with the way everything is unfolding, the two opposing sides sometimes just stand in each other's way. The idle game part isn't great. It's fine, don't get me wrong, but there are certainly better ways to watch numbers go up. This brings us to the heart of the matter, the story itself. And while there are some plot-holes, some inconsistancies, some characters you don't care about, the best way to sum it up is this: This game hits you in the feelings. This is art. You feel for every new batch of characters and hope against hope that things will turn out fine. It makes you cry, it makes you smile, it makes you root (pun intended) for Oopsie and BG, all before making you cry again. You will need to pay attention and let the story in, but ultimately any art that makes you feel is good art, no matter the flaws.
Oh my. This is fascinating. I like mysteries, character-driven stories, and idle games so there's nothing to not like about this game.
i 100% this game and don't regret one minute of my time spent. it was so fun and unique, i doubt i'll ever find another one like it. the story was fun and the art was gorgeous. a cookie clicker if it was a mystery, essentially. well worth it :)
Honestly. I bought this when I was ravenous for something I could have on in the background between meetings and work. Once I got the first few stories unlocked and the town started to populate with all sorts of new characters; I had to spend my off time reading through all the unlocks. I have never been so immersed in an Idler game like this. The storytelling is quite good and the mystery behind it all is just as compelling. Truly a great game. Easily would play another iteration of this or a next chapter sort of game. Very well done.
Отличная инкременталка! На секундочку: с сюжетом. За историями прямо интересно следить. Рекомендую.
Interesting take on an incremental game
Not entirely what I expected based on description, but I'll take it. This is essentially a story which can be told/discovered in a somewhat non linear way, but the end result is the same. No multiiple endings and such. The player unlocks individidual elements of the story through this "storytelling engine" gameplay. The way it works is somewhat unusual, but in my opinion it is original and interesting. The story itself takes a somewhat philosophical turn on the connection between the past, the present and the future and about the way small and sometimes unimportant choices of individuals can actually matter. The narrative can take very dark turns, but it also gives hope.
I've just completed Asbury Pines after about 220 hours of leaving it constantly running and checking in a couple of times a day - played fully on x1 speed, although the option to speed the game up does exist. I'll give it a fairly warm recommendation but caveat it that it is not going to be for everyone and your mileage will vary. The fairest description I can give of the "game" itself is "unpolished". It all works in terms of the various tabs you have for initiating work, story progress, perk development and so on, but it's all a bit disorganised, maybe a bit overwhelming, and a bit poorly explained (if it's explained at all, where sometimes things just aren't). There's nothing game breaking or obtuse enough to have you pulling your hair in frustration, but you might find yourself wondering if you've missed something or done something wrong until you're suddenly hit with thirty things unlocking all at once. The main attraction, rather than the "game" is the story, and for me, it felt original and surprisingly well crafted. I wondered how they could make it span some 12,000 years of history, and while it's not perfect in the execution it's not bad either. If you have a half decent imagination the world and characters the writers have crafted is quite well fleshed out in most places, even though you might not care to keep perfect track of who is related to who and how they all got to where they are. There is - in my opinion - a fairly consistent thread of a particular political and cultural ideology throughout the story that I found slightly sigh inducing, but I can look past it because I did otherwise really enjoy the story.
Nice soundtrack. Story is great.
