Arthur's Computer Adventure

It is a visual novel intended for a younger audience but this is also pure nostalgia and brings back great memories. Brings back the good old days where games had an educational value. And the production values are excellent - better than many recent visual novels - as you have the voice talent is here, and you are able to click on and interact with the characters and items on the screen, like the toys in Arthur's house or the Deep Dark Sea game that Arthur plays.

Ah Arthur, one of my favorite PBS Kids Shows ever! This game is really good. I'm glad these living book games are now on steam

ORIGINAL: I love these titles as I grew up with them, but this release is just plain broken. Nothing likes to launch - even with compatibility modes manually set. Developers, please fix this! UPDATED: They fixed it! The devs actually fixed it! Thank you so much for doing this! This game was my childhood, and now I can finally play it again. After the patch the devs put out, the game is running great. So far I've experienced no issues. Thank you.

It's an interactive picture book that's fully voiced, has cute little mini-games, completely interactive (I miss this aspect of point and click adventure games) and features Arthur and friends (and family). It also works perfect on modern systems, What's not to like?

FINALLY, the patch works, I can start the game on Windows 11 computers. Thank you for fixing this, this is a game my daughter likes very much.

Perfect for little kids.

Man, I can't believe that this made it into Steam all those years later in 2023! I do have an original copy myself, but the problem is the fact that it has awful load times and barely even worked on my computer nowadays. But thanks to this game, it's now playable on modern hardware, and the best part is the fact that the load times are like instant here. It still has its fair share of bugs and glitches here and there, particularily in the minigames, and Deep Dark Sea should have been much larger with more dive sites to offer, and more difficulty and yes, death means nothing in this game because you don't lose lives or the treasure you've collected. Aside from that Deep Dark Sea is the closest thing Living Books has to a real game itself, though it is relatively easy. I wonder how PeanutButterGamer's going to react to seeing this here.

It is cool that you can play the game from the story, Deep Dark Sea. When I was a kid I was stoked to find out that was an option after listening to the story.
