Arms Race - TCWE

Jogo muito bom q possui uma temática bacana q é a guerra fria, o jogo em si é legal,os avanços tecnológicos e as guerras são muito legais,mas o jogo possui eventos ridículos,minha primeira campanha (com a URSS) eu tava mandando no mundo,ganhava todas guerras e tinha uma economia forte, mas por causa de um evento,minha economia ''quebrou'' e perdi todos focos nas pesquisas, até agora não consegui sucesso como consegui nessa campanha,pois todas novas campanhas q eu tentei o jogo favoreceu o inimigo, em geral recomendo o jogo,mas essas ajudas q o jogo da pro inimigo são ridículas

I did not play at grand strategy games a lot of time before but always want to try. I like this game becouse of next things: The game has very realistic atmosphere. It seems that you really change the world history. Every milestone of space race and military technology milestones have historical information. It is like an encyclopedia right inside the game. There is magnificent menu music theme mixed with speaches of well-known historical persons. The game is about art of balansing. It was incredible when I tried to establish communism at South Korea during some years and lost whole East Europe and China at same time. Let's change World Map together!

This is not a Paradox-title and it shows: you don't delve too deep into politics, diplomacy or the space race. You don't control the movement of your armies in detail. But in an abstract way, you do feel like you're controlling the resources of your chosen superpower. The need to balance your influence, military, economy or space agency definitely is an interesting take. I honestly hope the developer keeps improving this game. I'll keep an eye out, even if it's some (cheap) DLCs to flesh out some things. Just that damn Crisis of the Elite bugs me. Gives me nightmares! Honestly, I think it's a fun indiegame set in one of the most interesting periods of humankind. It's not for everyone (and not for people looking for a true wargame or politics simulator), but it definitely has it's place out there, and for the foreseeable future, it's in my "installed games" list. To the developer: there's still some typos in the game that make it seem a bit less polished. They don't hurt the gameplay, though. Overall: good job!

The game is a little rudimentary, but the design and balance have been done very well. I bought this game on sale, but I feel like it is worth full price. I have continued to come back and play a few rounds every year or so.

Interesting Gem of a game. Personally I could need of more letsplay material to see how to do a good job. And I do love the space bit covered in the game.

I'm old enought to say this is great Cold War game !
