Writing this in 2026 but whatever. This game is the reason why DayZ exists! TOP! Also thanx FrankieonPCin1080p for showing alot of us this masterpiece.
you already know, this game add-on is the home of the OG dayz mod! R.I.P the good old days
Best game I've ever played. Thanks for the memories and lifetime friends I've made through you!
This game was my early teens. Having school-girl'd over Frankie's videos in early 2013 i got a pc and strictly played the DayZ mod lol. That was 10 years ago and i still think back on the memories i made on this game and how much it influenced my game choice along with the Friends i made and lost contact with, Ian, Deadsnake and our other buddy i cant remember his name sadly. Nothing will ever compare to my first life on Christmas day as i still remember spawning in Berenzino and getting broken legs. Some older dude found me squeaking away crawling down the street and said he could help me with my leg problem. He then proceeded to shoot me in the face with the Winchester. Anyways make sure to hit the Detriot side step on your way to that friendly in Cherno!
ARMA 2 Dayz mod was the best game ever made. RIP
As someone that had no life in school and has 2k+ hours on Arma 2 OA. This by far was the best game back in the day. Wish it would come back
PEAK. Ultra-realistic mil-sim. The map feels authentic and is worth exploring. It features a solid boot camp and standalone scenarios. The gunplay, AI, and squad control are impressive. The game offers strong visuals, great atmosphere, immersive music, and a huge arsenal of weapons and vehicles, along with great multiplayer options.
This is the most nostalgic game i can think of from my childhood, played over a 1000 hrs on my dell inspiron laptop. This is an absolute hood classic of a game. I have many good memories, playing with multiple milsim groups back in the day and i still reference a lot of the jokes we made on those servers, we always yelled "takistany drift" over the radio when we slid the abrams around corners during our ops. it was so much fun. wish i could go back to those days of waiting for the new frankie dayz episodes and actually having fun playing milsim servers with the boys.
I will leave the cat here, so that everybody who passes by can pet it and give it a thumbs up and awards /> フ | _ _l /` ミ_xノ / | / ヽ ノ │ | | | / ̄| | | | | ( ̄ヽ__ヽ_)__) \二つ
Originally I played this exclusively to set up my own missions on the editor. Someday I might go back to that. BUT if you really want to feel like you're part of a major battle, go to MP, set it on LAN, and then choose the "CTI" (Capture the Island) missions. Those permit you to play against AI that are also attempting to capture the island. If you are a multi-task kind of player and want it to feel closer to a FPS/RTS hybrid then vote yourself in as commander. If you want the AI to look after that then vote AI. I enjoy most working with a small team of 4 in a recon vehicle, or I'll get in an LAV or tank and work with the AI crew that comes with it, jumping between driver and gunner. CTI is the predecessor to the "Warlords" MP option in Arma 3, and plays very similarly to it if you enjoy Warlords in Arma 3 on LAN.
