Unfortunately it's impossible to progress beyond lvl 4 in the game (about 10 min of gameplay) and there is no sign that the devs are gonna fix things, so I'll be refunding the game. Too bad as it's actually a cute and relaxing little game - clearly aimed at children, but I still enjoyed what little I got to play at age 40 :D :D
Starting playing with my 4 yr old. Got through the first 5 dinosaurs and came to the option of either watching a video or playing a mini game. Game freezes and can't get beyond this point.
Refunded a $1 game I bought this game to play it with a kid (7 year old) and he loved it but after 4 or 5 levels the game locks you from progressing to the next level & it was obvious that this is a bad port of a mobile game and it wont let you pass to the next level no matter what you do, just gives you an option to watch an ad or play a minigame but even that doesn't work because it's made for a phone. Steam should take this game down from Steam since it is not playable after the 5th level and is a lazy mobile port.

I can only recommend this game for a single audience demographic. You may want this game if you have a toddler who is interested in dinosaurs and is learning basic mouse controls, as they will not mind the fact that you must play only the starting 5 levels. Each of the available games will focus on a different activity that can build basic mouse movement skills. The game is bugged and will not allow gameplay past the 5th level. While the game remains bugged and unplayable past that point, I cannot recommend this game under any other circumstances. This would change if the issues were fixed, as the game does have potential for younger or inexperienced audiences learning or maintaining basic motor controls associated with computers.
NOT ARCHEOLOGY (OR ARCHAEOLOGY)! Okay, as an archaeologist let's get a mini-rant out of the way with first. THIS IS NOT ARCHAEOLOGY! Archaeologists do not do dinosaurs! Dinosaurs are awesome but is not the focus of archaeology. The study of dinosaurs is part of Palaeontology, the branch of science concerned with fossil animals and plants. Archaeology is the study of human cultures through their material remains. Both are very interesting fields of study, both have similar skill sets but a different set of expert knowledge is required and a different focus. So, with that out of the way. Do I recommend this game? No, and not just because of the confusion over archaeology and palaeontology. The main reason I would not recommend this game is that it stop working after level 4. Level 5 is locked and the options it gives for unlocking is either to play a mini-game or watch a video. Clocking on watch a video does nothing, whilst clicking on play mini-game causes the game to crash. But lets break down the game further and look at the good points and bad points to fully evaluate the game, because there are some things it does well. Pros: Bright and colourful with friendly cartoon style graphics make it very catching. Different puzzles - Excavation (digging), Underwater Excavation, Cleaning Bones, Magnifying Glass, Skeleton/Fossil reassembly. Decent soundtrack/music, matches art style. Works well until it crashes at level 5 Cons: Confuses Archaeology and Palaeontology In the underwater level there are actually objects that would be considered archaeology but if collected are just discarded. Cannot pass level. Cost £0.79, which is not much but is for a game that does not work. Does not provide any information on the dinosaurs you are excavating, otherwise this is just puzzle game Some of the puzzles require fine mouse movements that might not easy for younger children. In summary, the game has the feel of a mobile or Facebook game and there is nothing wrong with that of course, but there are better games out there on the same idea which actually work and provide more information about the dinosaurs. So, avoid for now until it is fixed, if it ever is.
At level 5 you're faced with the choice to either watch a video or play a mini game. Clicking on the video option does nothing. Clicking on the mini game option opens a blank white screen. I tried several times and even change the graphics settings and resolution. So at this point you're only able to play four levels of this game (which equals about 10 min of playtime).
1. Why tf does it cost money if its made for 3 year old children????? 2. The third ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ level doesnt want to load. 3. WHY DOES THIS EXISTS??? Conclusion: Very ♥♥♥♥
My 6y old daughter started playing this game and liked it a lot. She loved the simple, yet amusing little games and the colorful dinos. Unfortunately the game just stopped working after a few levels. You need to choose between playing a game or watch a movie, in order to progress in the map with levels ... but none of those choices works. So you just get stuck. Very disappointing!
