GENIO!
mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm apples

The game has a great atmosphere and an interesting concept reminiscent of ParanoiaScape from PS1, but with billiards instead of pinball. Loved it very much, but after defeating Macarena, achievements stopped registering. Also, the boss battle with Gusana is broken, as I spent all 5 bullets on 1 jaw, and it still didn't open. Maybe I'm stupid, but no mechanic suggested any other solution. That's why not recommend right now review.
A Lynchian trip, alright.

It can best be described as a point-and-click, apple-billiard adventure.
Gameplay is, overall, as simple as it is effective. Mechanically relaxed exploration with a few combat (apple-billiard) sections that keep things entertaining, and helps with the pacing of the story. Said combat happens in two phases: while the first allows you to get comfy with each boss, the second adds a twist specific to each one. If you are like me, you'll be happy to know that this game is a firm believer in Chekhov's Gun. One caveat: I never fully figured out combos or damage output. Oddly, this felt fitting. Disorientation is kind of the point. You are, after all, trying to figure out what's going on in this conurbano Innsmouth where apple is the new fish.
Now, the best part is the atmosphere.
The backgrounds alone do a ton of heavy lifting in this regard. The surreal aesthetic hits like PS1 survival horror: not in look, but in feeling. That specific uneasiness where it felt safer to play during daylight. And yet there's a lightheartedness to it all that keeps it from ever feeling oppressive.

So how do you like them apples?
Strongly Recommended, especially if you're into weird, eerie point-and-clicks.
