Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Turn a ramshackle blacksmith shop into a successful enterprise in a challenging and endlessly varied world! Deal with local bandits, merchants, priests, as well as French and English soldiers. Manage workers with various quirks, improve facilities and tools to create better merchandise, decorate your smithy to attract high-paying customers and most importantly – try not to get yourself beheaded!
Construct new rooms and underground facilities in order to expand your smithy and take on the more challenging orders. From a simple kitchen to living quarters, to logging or woodcarving workshops – each room needs to be outfitted with the appropriate furniture and décor.
Customers, relationships and decisions – they all matter! Maintain your reputation with conflicting factions, each one offering protection and bonuses for your budding enterprise. The orders which you decide to fulfil and the way you deal with each faction influences the game world and leads to a variety of tragic, fun or bewildering outcomes.
Manage orders and try to increase your prestige level to attract the rich and the famous. Look out for unique orders that pay a premium, such as a baron’s request to create the most beautiful ring for his daughter or a wandering knight demanding you forge a one-of-a-kind sword.
Take charge of employees with different skill sets, salary levels, needs and personalities. Keep them happy by building special facilities, installing amenities and decorating their rooms. Equip your workers with special tools for faster work and help improve their craft by adding new books to your library.

--tl;dr If steam policy allowed me to refund this game, I would, due to how riddled with bugs it is. Calling this a 1.0 release has put a very large red flag on this developer for me. It starts out charming, and interesting even. And if you can tolerate all of the jank and just want a VERY grindy game that will waste a lot of your time, and provide you with an ending that is unrelated to your in-game choices, you'll be ok with this. --Below is a list of bugs and issues with the game, feel free to skip to the end, or even that as well, if the tl'dr was enough for you. Worker issues: --A queue system for tasks would benefit the gameplay greatly. Workers forget what they were doing all. the. time. You have to click to make workers eat the food they made, so they don't hit starvation. Workers frequently encounter pathing issues. Once you have accepted an order, there is no way to refuse it. Due to a limited worker portrait pool, it is easy to mix them up. As far as I saw, there is only one female worker portrait in the game. The game does alert you if a worker is not assigned. However, once assigned, you have only your memory to rely on who does what. The portraits could REALLY use a small icon, let's say in the top right of their portrait, showing what task they are currently assigned to. Quests/side quests: --There are so many side quests, and most of them are pop-culture references which desperately try to be witty, and are so frequent that they get annoying very fast. If these were dispersed over a greater time period and fewer in number, this wouldn't be such a nuisance. Memberberries. Would you like more memberberries? Missing quest rewards. When I load, the Anvil Saga Journal depicts choices that I never made. This is an issue with the main quest story line, since it breaks the multiple choice ending of the game. Loading the game: --Loading the game can either resolve bugs or break it. Loading the game changes faction standing. Loading the game reorganizes worker portraits. Loading the game changes choices you've made in the main quest line. The order queue: --The order queue does not function as described. Left click should increase priority, and right click should reduce it. It works when the queue is short, however, the results of clicking them while having a longer queue produces unreliable results. The queue length (visible and total) is also shorter than what you need to organize, and has no clear beginning or end. --When customers want to bargain, one of two problems occurs. 1. They ignore you completing an order that would lower faction standing, allowing bug abuse. Or the opposite. When you're trying to get rid of them so they don't see you completing an order for a rival faction, their text is still slowly loading, and you can't get rid of them. (Managing your standing with factions in the game is supposed to be a gameplay element.) 2. They can become a queue of people with text very slowly typing itself out, blocking your customer queue and causing all sorts of problems. It is possible to soft lock: --I've encountered soft locks. Biggest one from memory occurred during the smithy duel with your rival. Another one was a side quest that I accepted, and then the npc just stood in front of my shop for the rest of the game, without the player being given any tasks to complete said quest. In fact, the entire UI disappeared at first, so I saved and loaded. This returned the UI, but did not resolve the quest bug. Graphics glitches: --Graphics sometimes glitch. At the time of making this note, I am seeing plague clouds blink in and out of existence. Accepting a quest sometimes causes the UI to disappear and never reappear. Saving and loading fixes this one. (As mentioned before, but this happened multiple times.) The customer patience bar has disappeared at times. Text is frequently cutting off. Storage: --Once your ore chests are full, miners deposit ore into your smithy chest, which should be reserved for ingots, as they cannot be stored anywhere else. There is no way to upgrade the capacity of this storage, besides progressing the main quest. (Planks suffer the same issue) I haven't tested this, but I wonder if mined ore will take up log storage, or even food storage as well, if unattended. Food is not shown in your resource menu, you have to check it manually. Game balance: --The game features a ton of little inefficiencies, such as not being able to have more than one smithy, or smelter. More than one kitchen is possible but there isn't enough room on offer. And very limited room for objects per room. (For mines and storages it is as little as two) The game should either offer more room, or balance the order algorithm to not point out this issue. The smithy competitions: --The game has periodic blacksmithing competitions where you're only allowed to bring up to one apprentice. This means you need at least two workers that are not optimized, so they can do a little bit of everything. This clashes with the core gameplay loop of optimizing the smithy. To add insult to injury, the last competition gives you a random npc with 5 in every skill, as a third worker. I did have three main workers who were balanced to compensate for each other, and I invested in educating them and equipping them with good tools. Why does only the last smithy challenge allow for 3 workers, and why is it a random one? Helpers: --You need smithy level 5 to unlock helpers, but the helpers require level 1-3 to hire. The game also frequently forgets that you hired a helper, so the money is wasted, and the helper stops helping. Use the shop instead. Even when prices are doubled or tripled, it is reliable and keeps your production going. Bookshelf bug: --If you sell a bookshelf, and place a new one, you have to re-buy the books. This also causes the game to allow your workers to read the books again. (The books are special perks required for some orders. Re-reading doesn't affect skills, so it's superfluous.) Camera controls: --When double clicking a worker, it doesn't snap you to it, it does a pan that is slower than manually trying to find the worker. Speaking of camera controls, you are unable to zoom out enough to manage the entire smithy, which makes this slow panning issue for side quests and clicking on workers more detrimental. P.S. There is a carpentry tool that doesn't have any effect on gameplay, in this 1.0 release. >>>IN CONCLUSION<<< --If you've read this far, congratulations! You are as masochistic as I am. I completed an entire playthrough of the game. I didn't want to post a negative review without giving it a fair shake. Then it turned into morbid curiosity. This is a shame, really. The concept of the game has something in it. The visual aesthetics are charming. The soundtrack is very short, repettetive and annoying... Wait, this is the praise part of the review. Uhm... This could have been a thing. Why did you mark it as 1.0? The game is far from finished cooking. I am baffled by the "mostly positive" reviews. Sunken cost fallacy, perhaps? Gamer beware.

Lots of small bugs & design flaws. Some features are incomplete. Very repetitive.
Pretty fun game. Best for ~5 hours. Late game is very repetitive and boring. Game itself is far from polished. Few bugs exists, one bug forced me to reload the game. I haven't finished it. I've read game takes 60 days. Around day 35 i had everything. Max fame, best tools, max rep with every faction (i was playing on hard difficulty). I forced myself to play ~10-15 days on max speed with my shop closed, just to get end game. But after 30 minutes I decided I don't care anymore. Sometimes there was few days wihout any quest, just to get 3 different quest in just 30 seconds.. It was still no problem to complete them, because these quest are easy, but it is just weird. I recommend it on discount.
great gamesky
Its very wholesome game, but they should add more content to it - like vikings dlc - villages to conquer and many more to do... also samurai and other - go abroad with your little fella and try variations of contents with him.
