I want to like it but the camera angle is fixed at a very low angle and you can't see ahead cause the track layout isn't relatively flat. The voiceover also gets lost in the mix cause it's got a strange reverb on it that makes it hard to understand.
For this price, I can't recommend Antigravitor. I got it on sale for 2 bucks, and that's about what its worth. tl;dr, get BallisticNG. Its cheaper and way better in every aspect. With that out of the way, lets get to the game itself. The visuals are alright -- nothing special, but they do the job. The performance is quite solid -- with vsync disabled it shot up to a rock solid 500 FPS at 1440p with a AMD Radeon RX 7900 GRE. The music is on par and fitting with the rest of the game. There is some neat interaction with the environment in a similar vein as Split/Second. The mechanics are quite easy to pick up and understand. But that is where the positives stop. The most glaring problem is that the physics feel incredibly lacking. It feels like your ship is glued to the ground rather than floating a few meters above it. The control you have over your ship feels both incredibly direct and way to distant at the same time. When pushing the left stick in a given direction, your ship wildly jerks towards it, while on the other hand, it doesn't turn sharp enough. Mind you, this is kind of to be expected in a game where you have airbreaks. But the airbreaks don't really have an effect either. Neither does the weirdly implemented barrel-roll-on-the-ground-to-strafe-3-centimeters-in-either-direction mechanic. The camera is weirdly close to your ship, making it hard to see what turns are coming up. Though that is compensated by having at least the first few tracks not doing anything particularly interesting. There are pickups that you can use for boost, which breaks the balance if you keep spamming it; the bots have no idea how to respond to that. The aforementioned interaction with the environment looks, but has very little impact on gameplay. Sometimes you might run into an obstacle and slow down a bit. But if you have any amount of boost pickups left that costs you at most a second. I played through the first tournament feeling bored after the first half of the first lap of the first race. This sense of boredom didn't disappear until I started thinking about a way to complain about this game, which was more engaging than the game itself. If you're expecting something like WipeOut, go check out BallisticNG and Arc Racer. If you are looking for a good AG racing game that isn't as forehead-against-brick-wall difficult to pick up as BallisticNG, I recommend Redout and/or its sequel or Pacer. If you really like the tunnel sections, give Grip a shot. Hell, I would even recommend downloading an emulator and (creatively) acquiring some copies of the original WipeOut games. Their moment-to-moment gameplay is much more engaging than that of Antigravitor. With that being said, I do want to finish this ramble by saying that I don't think this game is particularly bad per say. Its just not very good in comparison with the other games on steam in this niche.
Crappy AG Racing. - Terrible rubber banding - Glitchy - Unsatisfying control - Tracks is not fun - Pointless trap system - Or unfair "Pure mode" - Weird camera - Cheesy soundtrack AI in the Silver League and above is way too fast, making it impossible for humans to catch up, what a insanely balance.
Bad handling with a weird following camera, Bad Track design and IA Broken... What a perfect combo... Just play BallisticNG or Redout 1 instead...
永远跑不过BOT,拿不到点数。拿不到点数,就不能升级配件,不能升级配件,就跑不赢BOT。跑不赢BOT,就没有点数,没有点数,就不能升级配件..............................................................
The game looks really great, its art style is fantastic - every futuristic racing game should look at least like this. Perfectly chosen colors, lighting, track designs... Unfortunately, Antigravitator has also some more or less significant flaws: I. The controls (fortunately, they can be fixed). Using a pad is much more convenient in this type of games, but here on the default configuration it is insufficiently responsive. The analog triggers are too slow to immediately activate the brake, and the stick is too slow to turn. However, if you use Steam Input, adjust the dead zones, activation thresholds and linearity settings - everything starts working exactly as it should. The pad sends commands just as fast as the keyboard, and as a result the driving becomes fun. II. The balance. In my opinion, our vehicle should be a little faster without using the boost, and a little slower after its activation, which would make the game easier at the beginning and would not allow us to lose our opponents too quickly or be left behind by them. The race would not be decided on the first lap then, which unfortunately happens sometimes. III. Problems with the AI. Sometimes it seems to be too fast for us if we do not master the track absolutely perfectly, other times all or almost all opponents do not finish the race. And the use of traps only causes additional chaos. This also spoils the fun. And the traps are rather too difficult to avoid. IV. The optimization - it could be better. It’s not a problem on the latest two GPU generations, but older cards are pushed a bit too much. Fortunately, the game has advantages as well. :) I. I've already mentioned the great graphics and route designs - there are exactly eighteen of these plus reverse variants. Each looks different and each is interesting. II. Our vehicles look nice, sufficiently different from each other. You can also feel that they have different stats. III. The driving physics is quite reasonable. And after using the boost you can really feel the speed. :) You won't find perfectly polished gameplay in Antigravitator, but I still sincerely recommend buying it, if not at full price, then on sale - to beat each of the stylish, beautiful, well-designed routes at least a few times at breakneck speed.
Wipeout Vibe
Antigraviator is a futuristic racing game that reminds me of Wipeout. The scenary are very beautiful and it's the biggest positive point of the game ! The circuits are quite varied and offer beautiful atmospheres and landscapes while integrating this well into the race itself. A customization side of the appearance and stats of each vehicle is available, allowing you to adjust the acceleration, the handling and strength as you wish while keeping a certain stability in the statistics (some parts will give you a lot of speed but will greatly reduce your maneuverability). The game offers you good hours of racing on several fairly distinguished racing modes, with a fairly advanced difficulty at some moments, which is quite nice I must say ! A trap system to be triggered in relation to the circuit is also available (avalanche, water leak, barrier, ...), which can be avoided most of the time when you know the spots of each one (just some cannot, like the locked target trap). https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2987806070 On the other hand, the game lacks of skins customization for the vehicle and could have a better management of rewards and ads on the campaign side... On some races of the campaign (2 or 3), the AI is just perfect and leaves no place for the slightest error, it can be quite frustrating. And they are some times no way to avoid some traps, like shield or something else... Unfortunately this game was not well known by the community who did not try to see what the game offered after 1 or 2 races... Lots of false reviews:

The handling is really clean, but specific to the set up of the vehicle you are driving !
Traps are far from being a problem in the game, they can be unpleasant at first but you have the indication of their spots and they are almost all dodgeable !
The music is certainly not too varied but quite calm (in the menus) and dynamic in the race and it's more than enough !
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2987804458 For me it's far from being an excellent game but remains a good futuristic racing game ! Certainly some others are better such as Pacer but Antigraviator keeps its share of originality oriented Arcade nostalgic and quite simplistic. I really enjoyed to play this game and I recommend it for anyone who like this type of racing games !
🏆 For the Achievements 🏆
You will need do the whole campaign and some specific achievements (check this guide) ~15h to 100%
it seemed to fill that wipeout itch i get every now and again, imo this is the arcade racer ive been looking for for the odd 30 mins here and there. i got it on sale, im getting heavy 00s nostalgia rn... like the kind of game you might find second hand or on offer for a steal, and you get intruged and shove the disc in your system... yeah it gives me those feels! for 30 mins here and there i think ill get some more fun out of this in the future!
Not exactly what you're looking for in an AG racer but an enjoyable game in it's own right. Ships are very much stuck on and have perfect grip. Lacking pitch controls. Using brakes doesn't feel punishing so is encouraged but typically a bad habit for the acclaimed AG racing game. Presentation makes for an addicting sense of speed. Although, later on it's impossible to see the track before you've hit every border, unless you've memorised perfectly. CW avoids placing many tunnels or jumps, each time the odd one comes up it is extremely... dangerous for your stability. Campaigns are 4 tracks preset with different race mode. 2/10 Campaigns, I couldn't win. The AI cheats sometimes. All of them will break the speed of light to overtake you in the last moments of the race. They throw this mechanic in 1/4 races but because you have extra points from other races you'll still win."Titanium" campaign bumps it up to 3/4 and I couldn't help but notice my speed throttled. Can't say anything about "Legends" campaign. Also, the tip about pushing opponents into borders is bs. They don't care about hitting anything but rolling next to them will sometimes drop their speed. Only useful traps are minefield and missile, the rest are a detriment to yourself, and you'll pray they won't use the latter against you.
They always will. If able, use it before them or eat neon.
