👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

 Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
English: -------------------------------------------------> Antidote by TEAPOT Creation is a small escaperoom game. From the title, Antidote sounds very topical, of course, but unlike in reality, the virus in Antidote did not come about naturally. In this fictional world, the bioterrorist Dr. Mabbb has kidnapped us and injected us with a deadly virus. We wake up locked in a small medical laboratory and must now try firstly to neutralise the virus and secondly to escape. The intro of Antidote shows our abduction in short video clips filmed in real life, embedded in a comic strip accompanied by driving beats. There is no talking in the intro. The graphics in the game itself are well done, even if they look a little lacking in detail and flat here and there. As usual in good escaperoom games, there are many objects (unfortunately not all) that we can interact with, not all of which help solve the puzzles, of course. The difficulty in grabbing and interacting with objects or the environment now works well after an update. The hand models look good and are nicely animated. If you play the game for the second time, you even wear a clinical number bracelet and a wound compress. There is unfortunately no finger tracking but with the index controllers you grip with grip. Vive controllers use the trigger button. However, we move through the lab rooms exclusively by teleportation, which is a bit of a shame. If you also move freely in the room, it can happen that you accidentally beam into a wall. But that doesn't happen often if you watch where you step. The puzzles in Antidote are not too difficult and are all logically comprehensible. If you still get stuck, you can use a USB stick to call up limited hints for the respective puzzles. A nice idea. The game spreads atmosphere by increasing the time pressure on the player through increasingly severe symptoms that we suffer in the course of the virus infection. Our vision becomes difficult at times, or we can only move slowly and can no longer hear clearly. The effects that the disease has on us are not permanent, but occur only for a short time at a time, but then hinder the player in his tasks. An interesting way to show the protagonist's condition. Those who speak French or English will also understand the last part of the game well, because the various endings are again shown as video clips. This time, however, they are spoken in French with English subtitles. But you have to be able to read quickly to understand everything. After Antidote received an update, it is easy to play and it is fun to escape from the laboratory. Unfortunately, I still don't know how to set the place on fire.... 👀Escape the mad scientist to my curator page! 👑 Powered by HoI 4 Deu Curators group in German / English 👑⠀⠀⠀

 Follow Main group
 Follow Second group
Science themed VR escape room with codes that change each playthrough. You must cure yourself from a virus before perishing in the laboratory. It's a little more difficult than others of the genre. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tb73BK3JRBk&t=18s
Experienced on the Oculus Rift
Please note: I received a free Steam key through the Steam Curator Connect program You can view my gameplay & intial impressions review here: https://youtu.be/GVMgTNG6KV0 This is not a full review. This is just an initial impressions. I can at least give this game a neutral recommendation based on what I've seen. I have not beaten the game and that is the reason I am not doing a full review. So this is an Escape room where you have 45 minutes to beat the game. By default, it is in French, but you can change the language to English in the options. Teleportation is the only locomotion (you can choose simple or directional teleportation). The game is running on the Unreal Engine. The game was running smoothly, but at only 45 frames per second on my 1060 GTX. I would imagine on a 1080 or higher it would run at 90 fps. I did not experience any bugs. Although, the game does NOT save your progress or your settings. There are no graphical settings. While there are several objects you can interact with, there's also several objects you can't even pick up. It is cool looking at the microscope and seeing all the different micro-organisms. I found the puzzles to be interesting. There are several parts to some of the puzzles. I am stuck in the second room. I think I am close to a solution though. You can choose between easy, normal, or expert difficulty. I think the only difference is the amount of tips you get. Overall, this is a nice escape room. However, I'm not sure it's worth $15 USD. Usually, puzzle escape rooms in that price range have better cinematics or higher production values. This does have an opening cinematic scene, but it's just basically 2D video on a wall. Rate ?/10. Neutral recommendation.
It's a pretty good VR escape the room game with puzzles a little harder than others in this category. I'd buy it, see video for some gameplay. I bought this game at 6:45am and had installed and solved it at 9:38am, so just under 3 hours and maybe 2 1/2 hours of game play after it had installed. Overall I liked this game and is better than the other 6 or 7 escape room games i have. Really the only bad thing I had was moving around, I tried both modes and it was just not easy to get the blue teleport to come up all the time. I would move a bit or use the other hand and it would finally show back up and i could move. Not sure if its with my Vive pro setup or not but out of my over 100 VR games i've never had that much trouble moving around in VR. I paid the full price of $15, so thats not crazy but with it only being a 3 hour game for me i'm thinking i should of put it on my wish list and waited until Steam emailed me that it was at least 50% off. They did a really nice job and the art work was great and the puzzles were good.
Reviewed with Valve Index + Knuckles
Guinea Pig Hostage at the hands of Terrorist 💉 ✔️Intro Great 👍🏻 a Plot not seen before in VR ✔️Use the Hints 👌🏻 I liked every puzzle ❌Grabbing on to X-Ray 4 needs tweaked Antidote "Walkthrough" - Commentary by The Mummy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej_FSAPoz5Q Follow our VR Curator Page: https://store.steampowered.com/curator/29893447/ I think it's a great Escape Room with good content. I've spent hours trying to solve some puzzles. What I didn't know was some Puzzles had been broke or not working. That prevented me from moving along in the game. BUT, I hung in there and once the Hidden Locker Door was fixed + the Hints Station working. I had a much better time with the game and felt good solving them one by one. Even went back to try some fails to see what would happen, I enjoyed that as well!
Reply to Dev only #4 X-Ray had an issue as it was hard to grab between that wall and Machine, as if hung up on something in that narrow space.
On balance, I don't think I'm going to recommend this. The puzzles are sometimes quite obscure and there are not enough clues in your environment. Coupled with this, on two play-throughs when I was given a particular safe code, the code didn't work, whereas after consulting a walkthrough I found that this was a bug. There is too many things that betray the mechanism of solving puzzles here (like this). I ended up not trusting the game to be fair with its solutions. Also, it's really difficult to grab things. Without a walkthrough you'll miss loads of items because you'll assume you can't pick them up after trying 2 or 3 times.
