TL;DR - Anyone who decided not to play Another Sight, as a result of this prequel, should go try the main game on it's own merits. This prequel is NOT a good representation of what to expect. Long Version: As someone who played this after playing - and loving - Another Sight, my disappointment with this "prequel" is palpable. This is less a prequel, and more a 30 minute ad for a game that didn't need one. Another Sight is a beautiful game, with a rich story, stunning visuals, and intriguing puzzle gameplay. Hodge's Journey promises the backstory of the most enigmatic figure in the main story...and immediately breaks that promise. This game doesn't have a story. It's a compilation of rushed puzzles that reference much better ones from the main game, and you learn absolutely nothing about Hodge's backstory. If this weren't a free game, the phrase "shameless cash grab" would apply. As it's a free game, all it really is, is a shame. The worst part of this free prequel is that, it detracts from the main game by virtue of it's existence. I would much rather have paid $20-$30 for a real prequel, than to have this glorified trailer turning people off from the wonderful experience that is Another Sight. Pros: - Free - Has a cat - Beautiful visuals Cons: - No story. Literally. None. - Does NOT give an accurate representation of the full game - Will actively turn people off from playing Another Sight

2.5D grafiklere sahip kısa süren güzel basit bir aksiyon/macera oyunu şahsen ücretsiz olduğu için denenebilir.
A very quick introduction to Another Sight, it's mostly platforms and a few puzzles. Play it first, though be aware that Hodge begins in a very special place and crosses all the worlds you'll play in Another Sight from the last area to the first one. I really appreciated the introduction to the full game at the end of it, the video is really well made. The only thing I didn't like in that game is that if you have the "Hodge skins" DLC, it doesn't work for this one game. It's a little thing, but I would have liked my black cat which looks exactly like mine during that prequel too !
"Another Sight - Hodge's Journey" is not a game. It's an advertisement/demo for a platformer game called "Another Sight". The game this is advertising is a basic 3D rendered 2D puzzle/action platformer, similar in many ways to games like Trine. While the visuals are quite good, animations are a little janky in some places and don't marry well to the platformer aspect of the game, often when you land you'll be in the wrong animation state and it will just look bad. But there's little to discuss in terms of gameplay here, because this is not a game, it's an advertisement. It's a common mistake for developers unfamiliar with Steam to launch demos/advertisements as full games on Steam instead of tagging them correctly as demos. Here's the instructions for developers on how to put a demo up on Steam, because the developers obviously didn't read it: https://partner.steamgames.com/doc/store/application/demos While it might seem like an inocuous mistake, publishing demos and advertisements as if they are full games is misleading and in some ways harmful. This advertisement is taking up marketing space and visibility that would be better made available to a game developer who did the right thing and created a full game. Instead, that visibility is given over to a demo/advert that's been published incorrectly and is polluting the marketplace. It's unclear if the developer has made this mistake through incompetence or a deliberate intent to mislead gamers, but at the end of the day, I can only recommend full, correctly published games to gamers. Because this is just a demo, and because of the other problems with it, I can't recommend it.
