Fun-ish. Levels were pretty but terrain was often impractical for gameplay.
idk if it's bad Unity default colliders or what, or it's the bad blend of japanese DS difficulty with gooey western animations, or if it's that the telegraphing animations suck (when they exist at all), or if it's that binding dodge to run in this kind of game is...a choice.. but learning to play 'around' the jank of a game that otherwise is like n64 nostalgia mixed with sardonic social commentary is a bummer. it doesn't feel tight the way a DS game does. Using a controller as the game repeatedly insists makes the input feel -far worse-, at least on my logitech controller. You will spend several hours getting used to the controls, and rip your money if you paid full. I thought I was getting tilted and going crazy until reading forum posts but all I've been playing the past two weeks is monster hunter and DDR, my timing isn't that bad. I've played elden ring and DS3, those are hard but feel fair. A lot of users report it feeling terrible the first time they played and then they 'get it', but my version of getting it was staying as far away from enemies as possible and chipping them down because the hitboxes are kinda weird. and the motion sickness you get for not using the terrible focus camera builds up quickly, I don't get motion sick in games often but the camera in this one did it for me

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

All the common issues with soulslikes (unfair enemies, what seems to be intentionaly enraging map designs, and long gaps with no savepoints and 1k enemies.) I liked it's bosses and parrying, but thats about all it has to offer.
A very enjoyable lighter soulslike game. While not as challenging as most soulslikes, it's still really fun and provides a unique combat gameplay.
I feel a little bad walking away from this one because I know it’s extremely well reviewed, and Soulslikes are usually right in my wheelhouse. But for whatever reason, **Another Crab’s Treasure just isn’t clicking with me**. The combat feels strange and a little frustrating, I’m not particularly drawn to the setting, and the shells, upgrades, and progression haven’t given me much motivation to keep going. I can absolutely see the charm, and I understand why people love it. On paper, this seems like a game I should really enjoy. I’m honestly surprised I don’t. But long story short: **I’m just not having fun**, and eventually that’s the only thing that really matters.
While the premise is genius and I quite enjoyed what i played, I can't quite say that i recommend this game. Its just slightly too jank, slightly too buggy. Slightly ruins the experience for me. I lost 7000 microplastics because an enemy smacked me out of bounds and I couldnt get my stuff back.
Another Crab’s Treasure is a fun take on the souls-like genre. On its surface it’s a Pixar like story about a hermit crab embarking on a journey to get his shell back. beneath the surface contains deeper political themes like climate change, oligarchy, capitalism, corporate greed, and worker exploitation, just to name a few. A lot of these themes are very relevant to what we can see going on in the world today. The gameplay is very smooth and familiar if you’ve played other souls like games. The unique part of this experience is finding unique shells that offer different abilities and stats as you progress through the game. The game isn’t quite as difficult or punishing as other games of this genre I’ve played but still enough of a challenge that it’s not a walk in the park. Only complaints I remember having are a few beta holes i would get stuck in and some world loading issues when entering new areas. These issues didn’t happen often enough to be a huge issue. Overall I was pleased to find a story I could relate to in this game I went into expecting just a quick silly souls-like. Would definitely recommend if you’re into this genre of games.
Extremely overrated. This was a frustratingly bad journey. The game is VERY inconsistent and has the worst platforming you can ever try. Really badly designed and the combat is not good enough to play for more than 4 hours in total. The voice acting is exceptionally awkward and the dialogues are also really not interesting nor funny. You'll also be fighting the same 3 enemies the entire damn game. When I reached the last 3'd of the game I just wanted to rush throw to end the damn agony.
