Made me laugh for the entire duration of the game so far Haze is such an edgy ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ but also trying so hard to be the hero while saying hes not. There is something I love about that. Some of the serious bits managed to strike emotion in me and the odd cast of characters are charming. Great music and funny funny voice acting The bugs are insane and the story i all over the place. I crave more release file 2 already!!!!! Bugs included: Opening phone messages in certain areas crashes the game Also opening the map crashes the game The only items in the game ring tones crashes and wallpapers cover the whole game world hiding the area and switching area wont fix it (semi-softlock) The street with the cars that leads to the junkyard turns the night filter off on all nights and has a random other glitchy effect depending on the night Taking certain entrances during night 1 switches the map set to day 1 bringing back the music and npcs with the night filter (softlock) All alleyways in downtown on night 2 have their tiles jumbled up Top Right alleyway in downtown night 3 has it exit blocked so you're softlocked Terrible lag and choppiness during some events After stealing drugs for the officer on day 2 you are stuck with the sneaking movement speed until you start the next event During nighttime the brown windows with no light coming out of them loose collision so you can walk up buildings but the grates on the street gain collision so you cant walk down the road without walking around it Unused art for haze appears in during several events Images from the art gallery and music store get stuck on the screen until you reload & many more

40 minute cutscene is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ nuts btw. its not even a proper cutscene, its a screen recording of somebody else advancing the dialogue

This ♥♥♥♥ sucks so much ♥♥♥♥ bro. but haze is pretty cool though (JK). he's possibly the most annoying ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ character ever. I want to kill myself every time he talks. it's like listening to a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ♥♥♥♥♥♥ that thinks hes the coolest guy ever (Nichoai)
I don't remember how I found this game. Pretty sure I was cruising for free games and saw 'Anonymous Agony' and thought "Well that's quite edgy.". I saw the RPG maker style and thought it might be a new indie title since that's pretty common for new devs. This is a perfect storm of a game. The game deals with a very serious, dark subject matter then completely delves into wish fulfillment to the point it's nonsensical. The writing is baffling. You can see what tropes and character arcs the author wants to set up, but it's so thin a veneer it's hard to see them as characters over concepts. The art style drastically changes from the overview portraits to in-game full screen art. Both styles have merit. The portraits are sharp and well done to bring a lot of personality in and the in-game cut screen type ones have a lot of expressiveness. The voice actors try their absolute hardest and deserve the credit for it. The music swaps between surprisingly good(then blasted into oblivion on loop) to RPG maker music cutting in at bizarre times. The gameplay...is not the best and crashes often. I was obsessed with this game. It obliterated me. I had it open copying script moments to rewrite, I made some memes, drew fanart, compared what little I knew of coding to other RPG maker titles. I am convinced Haze is literally named Hayes but decided to be edgy about it, that's the kind of main character he is. It's a condensed insane plot and for what I expected good god did Anonymous Agony deliver. It's free, it can be finished in a few hours, and it is EXACTLY what you're expecting. I need to go outside and put this beast to rest, goodbye. Generic pro-tips for the interested: -You need to do things at night to progress the story -Do NOT save outside of the house or a computer cafe -The game is more about narrative, not really combat/skillset focused -Ye ye
there's a surprising amount of personality and heart underneath all the edge. some parts are painful, and not in a good way, but I found it easy to forgive. it doesn't handle its subject matter tastefully, but it's not as gratuitous as I expected. the full script and design doc are required reading. they add a lot to the game. I can't really recommend it without giving you some qualifications, but it's free and you'll know within 10 mins if you're on board.
People can say what they want. It's cringe, edgy, etc. But I do like the concept and the vigilante storytelling. Haze is actually a great character, just trying to do good, but often misunderstood and treated like the bad guy. The only issue I have with it are the bugs, which I hope will get fixed in due time.
This game is so weird and I have a lot of things to say about it but at the end it was a enjoyable experience for me, is edgy but funny enough, the voice acting hard carrys the game, there are a lot of bugs and crashes that will never get fixed and you have to give the 100% of yourself to get to the end, It's so funny that to progress in the game you need to fix the location of the audio files. 10/10
