Reviews
A fairly clunky game, it is interesting and how it connects to the first game is interesting but still just barely a recommended.
10/10 Good game

Ultimately I think I preferred the original Anodyne, but this was a solid experience with lots of charm and weirdness and fun to be found. The 2D dungeons were the highlight for me, great puzzle design, but the visuals of the 3D section won me over also, and it was delightful to drive around and explore. Charming npcs, interesting story and an excellent soundtrack.
I don't think I've yet seen a game that I like more visually or narratively. This is my favourite game of all time.
Have always loved Analgesic but this is by and far my favorite. Rich aesthetically and poignant, when its not leaving me speechless I'm laughing or crying at the moving but deeply personal characters. If you enjoyed any Analgesic game you will not be disappointed! I hope I can just give back a little bit of the love I felt from this game back to the devs.
Loved it! I was just fascinated from start to finish. I really enjoyed the writing, the design of the worlds, and the music. There are so many twists and turns and surprises throughout the adventure, and I'm really glad I played through it. The themes of purpose, expectations, and connection really resonated with me. I don't think you need to play Anodyne 1 first but I would still recommend it since it's also a good game and adds some more depth to the world. Anodyne 2 is a heartfelt and sincere piece of art with a lot to say and think about and I'm glad the devs put it out into the world.
If you like puzzles and narrative-driven games, this should be for you. If you only like playing tiktok clippable games, then probably avoid
