About
As governor, how you build and govern will shape your story, your citizens’ destiny, and your provinces’ future. Will you cooperate with other governors or prove your military prowess by challenging your rivals? The cost of peace is yours to decide.
Build your provinces with unmatched detail, flexibility, and scale. Watch kids chase dogs through the streets or thousands cheer in the arena. Build upon the land that you see, from the beautiful heartland of Latium to the mysterious Celtic wetlands of Albion… where no civilized Roman wants to be.
Design the cities of your dreams at the peak of the Roman Empire as you balance your people's needs with the relentless demands of the emperor. Forge alliances across the empire or showcase your might with strategic land battles and naval combat. You may even defy the emperor himself – but not without consequences.
Every decision you make as governor matters. Will you honor local Celtic culture or enforce Roman traditions? Grow your provinces through diplomacy and commerce or conquer through military strength. Your choices will shape not only the future of your citizens and your provinces, but your own story as well.

Got the game yesterday, I am enjoying the game
To me this game is bursting with potential. The reality is this game is a skeleton with meat to be added in the form of DLC over the next few years, and that's fine - the skeleton at the moment is still very good, fun, has all of the Anno magic and worth the asking price imo. In it's current state you could argue it is bare bones but they're still good bones. I'm looking forward to the game being fully padded out over the years by which point it will be absolutely brimming with content, mechanics, other regions etc. They nailed it with 1800 and I'm sure they'll find their way with this too. Good: Beautiful graphics Solid addictive Anno city building, trade simulation Ancient world atmosphere and art direction is very good Enough to keep you busy for many hours Performed great on my system Bad: Somewhat simplistic and limited in setting in it's current state - only one other biome/region Some missing features from 1800 like seeing workers in fields (nitpick!) Needs padding out with features and content from DLC
game is broken cant get past the point where i have to put a governor villa on weaterflod but i building on a rong island in second part and now the game still thinks i have that land when i have that land no more beacause it broke before when i picked a island that whas not on the quest dont let us build on other island than in the f tutorial stupid devs cant you make it so when your doing the quest and have to build on one of the 2 wtf is this payed 80€ for broken game now i have to restart 5 hours of gameplay because they pushed the game. how can gold go from +200 to -200 just in a coint flip i know your cheating just stop cheating game. DEPRESSING why is it raining/thunder the hole time no sunshine wtf real life is depressing why you make the game depressing too? we play games to be happy and enjoy them... am just getting more and more depressed the longer i play STOP IT! make it fun and sunshine wtf i life in belgium it rains/thunders here everyday aswell fun is holiday sunshine etc what is this am i the only one? main menu seems so nice sunshine etc but ones you go in the compain mode its like no thank you bye! put a option for it for god sake thunder on/off rain on/off not that hard do... when you finished what was the first thing you devs did? holiday right... there you go... make it holiday fever.. the AI patting needs a lot of work aswel go straight you ask they will go to other side of island to board a ship? why is that go to the f ship.... same for combat stuff needs a lot of work also. evacuation dose almost not work just delete that part its stupid. overall one anno is other anno just diffrent skins, not worth the 80 bucks it costs now tbh. could have got a better night for 80 bucks that you never forget instead i bought this WTF !
Blödes Anno 117, hat mir die alten Anno Spiele versaut. Das schräge bauen macht einfach so viel aus, da schauen jetzt die Rasterbauten einfach mau aus.
I adore this game-- Its beautiful, engaging & a delight to play. I love my lil' cities Compares favorably to Anno 1800 base game in my opinion, hopeful the devs get a few seasons of DLC to build on it
Mega gutes Spiel sehr zu empfehlen!!!
This is similar to Anno 1800. For now it is quite barebones. This needs more DLC and the integrated mod loader within the game asap.
game feels great and fun building is fun all the additions are nice leaving this positive review for all the neckbeards on here
