Angel Droid is an unfinished experiment that explores a crafting system inspired by Elder Scrolls, Magicka, Vampire Survivors, and many more. This game is rough around the edges, and now exists as a home to the developer's original soundtrack written 15 years before the game's release.

⠰⡿⠿⠛⠛⠻⠿⣷ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣀⣄⡀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣀⣀⣤⣄⣀⡀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⢸⣿⣿⣷⠀⠀⠀⠀⠛⠛⣿⣿⣿⡛⠿⠷ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠘⠿⠿⠋⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⠇ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠉⠁ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣷⣄⠀⢶⣶⣷⣶⣶⣤⣀ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠈⠙⠻⠗ ⠀⠀⠀⣰⣿⣿⣿⠀⠀⠀⠀⢀⣀⣠⣤⣴⣶⡄ ⠀⣠⣾⣿⣿⣿⣥⣶⣶⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠿⠿⠛⠃ ⢰⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡄ ⢸⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡁ ⠈⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⠁ ⠀⠀⠛⢿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⣿⡿⠟ ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠉⠉⠉

EDIT: Please read the comments in the review for further context. This game is quite an enigma. The game itself, is alright. Considering the description and store page is completely redacted, I will provide my own paraphrasing what the game entails below. You control a droid that's armed with a unique "socket" system so that they can manipulate different elemental spells to eliminate physical manifestations of despair. To do this, you delve into people's minds and survive through waves of enemies in an action-2d roguelike state, powering up your spells by inserting different elements into spell sockets so that you make up spells to completely dispatch enemies. This is a really cool concept, that's also been explored in the previous games made by Lunar Penguin Media. While I mention it being a cool concept, execution-wise, the game kind of stumbles a bit. Considering that the game has been taken out of early access, I must therefore review it as a "completed product". It is very perplexing that the game's description has been changed to either be redacted, or be repeated with a phrase; "when your dreams come true, where else is there to go?" I don't really understand this update/description change or whatever, considering that it also took the game out of early access, which doesn't really make sense considering that there are so many areas that are marred with placeholder text and 'things to do for later' sort of update areas. It feels like there's a lot of missed potential with this game. It's very perplexing to see that every update prior to the redaction has been completely removed off of the face of the planet, with there being no hide nor hair of any mention regarding the game's current status, or even where/what the creator is currently working on. Has the game been abandoned? Will there be any future updates to rectify the game? It would really be a shame to not see this project come to complete fruition, considering that even with all of the misgivings that the game has, the game still has a lot of potential to grow and actually be something at least very decent. Currently, I can't really recommend the game, as it's quite flawed at its current state. It doesn't really feel very fleshed out, with there being a lot of visual clash regarding assets, the socket system itself being rather flawed (while the game mentions "thousands of combinations of spells", only one part of the socket system actually dictates how a spell properly behaves and functions, with the rest either adding a benign passive or just changing damage), and the situation regarding a lack of communication as to what the current state of the game is. It's a shame, because I do see that there's passion behind the game (the original credits used to mention all of the creator's influences when making Angel Droid), and I think that the idea itself is super cool, but it feels like Angel Droid needs to be fine-tuned to be something spectacular.
The game has potential, but the scalings don't line up very well. The music and backgrounds are cool, and the enemies can be interesting, but there are some issues. You literally cannot play the game when starting Fire, because the starting enemies all have resistance to it. None of the attacks feel very satisfying, and all of the scalings feel just okay at best. I recommend speeding up animations, giving attacks more oomph, and not being afraid of the player getting too powerful over time. The ability to change crystals would also be cool, and is already balanced by the fact that if you swap out 9 fire with 1 water, you still pay for it. There's a lot else I could say, but I don't want to just drone on, and I really think this is a good first draft of a game with some potential under the hood. The game feels like a first project, which is fine, I simply recommend the dev take some examples from other games in the genre. Risk of Rain, Hades, and Nova Drift come to mind as good examples of scaling in roguelites. I love that this isn't yet another game marketing itself as $20 with no basis. That's why I purchased it. I'm really hoping the dev is receptive, because like I said, there's a lot of potential. While I can't recommend it now, I can see this eventually becoming a cool game if the dev works on making the gameplay loop more satisfying. I'm definitely going to be checking back every so often to see how it develops.
The only thing good about this game is its music
