I usually love tower defense games, but this one just misses the mark and becomes a trial of frustration. There's hardly any strategy to the game as there are only 4 base towers and only two of them have 2 different types of upgrades each. However, some towers are better than others without question. That said, you still have to grind the same levels dozens of times for gems to upgrade your towers because you'll get stuck on some levels. Level 5.3 is where is gets especially frustrating as I guess you're expected to use temporary powerups more than towers? So if you've been focusing on tower upgrades you now have to go back and re-grind levels again to upgrade the powerups. Either way, it's far too much of a grind to be enjoyable, and uses gimmicks for certain levels rather than actual strategy.
Blandest TD I've ever tried that wasn't a mobile game
This game is great! I love the artwork and music. It's "ancient" but high-tech, so it reminds me of those old Thundarr The Barbarian or He-Man cartoons. It's got some innovative features for tower defense that I've never seen elsewhere. It's incredibly well polished and I don't think I've encountered any bugs. They didn't just hack this together. Overall, I think it's a fun tower defense game and it's too bad it didn't get much traction and Moonlight Mouse hasn't made any more games.
Fun game but no actual options 5-6 hours of the game but i never really got past the 2 world level even on easily i had a difficult time but that may be due to me not the best at strategy games. good game for those who are into tower defense games and have a better mind then me on strategy 3.5/5 for me
这是我玩过的唯一一款需要重复一关刷钻石刷到吐才能升级防御塔的塔防游戏
11 years after the game was released, here I am revisiting it, as I only just realised I had literally missed one single Steam achievement from the game. So.... Full game reset and we go again from the very beginning, heck, why not. This is a classic Tower Defence game, with quite nice graphics for the time. What it does is a little limited compared to some of the more modern games in the genre, but for fans of the genre who've been playing this type of game for a good 20+ years like myself, sometimes you really just want to have the game be as they once were and this game does that pretty well. The game has a pretty steep learning curve. The first island, very simple and straightforward, more of a tutorial than anything else. But, then it gets tougher and you have to start using your noodle to make any progress. You have to think about placement, which towers work best and think carefully about your spending. I do think that some of the more recent negative reviews may be from folks that simply aren't used to the old school tower defence style, where yes, you had limited choices and you had to make the best of them and think about where you use them and use the extras like the road blocks and mines carefully and at the right time. Would I recommend the game still after all this time... Heck yes. The price is still really decent for the entertainment you can get from the game, provided you like Tower Defence games. I would have liked to have seen more content added, or a sequel to the game, but alas, I think that ship has long since sailed.
This is a TD (Turret Defense) game. It has a light hearted approach to an alien invasion with characters that draw you in. Even though there are only a few panels, at the end of a mission I found myself saying, "What do you think about that Johnny? In your face with your giant robot!" It is easy enough to learn with the installed tutorials. Beware of false advice as you play through. "These are dangerous enemies, use these..." is not necessarily sound advice. You'll figure it out. There are lots of unique maps and some small randomness to the enemies. If you look at the playthrough videos you'll see there is no best way to win a battle. Each encounter leaves a lot of room for individuality. Bottom line, you got a big boss, you need lots of DPS. You choose how to bring it. I'm on my third playthrough now and not at all bored. Drop me a line if you have questions.
Really enjoyed this Tower Defense game. I love games where there are an actual grid you can place your towers on. This one was both simple, challenging and well balanced. It had a fun story line. It had plenty of good towers and upgrade paths (including a few that aren't very economical) but not so many that you get overwhelmed or overloaded. It can require a tiny bit of pre-planning and changing your upgrades in the later levels (or simply play a few more of your favorite levels to get more gems to upgrade). One of my favorite games in years and definitely recommended.
