About
An Eternity Gone By is a time-based adventure across a series of strange worlds, filled with fun and imaginative monsters for you to face. Use Mirai’s telekinetic magic to launch the objects covering various worlds right back at the monsters inhabiting them… Revisit past levels decades later as you work your way to face the evil Spider Dragon: King of the Monsters.

It is said that every thirty years monsters descend upon Starblast Village. Everyone knows not to leave home during this event - everyone except for Mirai Starblazer.
That night, Mirai convinces her best friend Kako to sneak out and watch the stars. However, during their outing the two are ambushed by monsters and Kako is abducted and taken away to a mysterious world. Mirai ventures after her, not yet realizing just how long this journey will take…

It will take more than one attempt for Mirai to save Kako. Mirai might not have enough time on the first attempt. And with every failed attempt, time will pass and Mirai and the worlds she visits will change.
Follow Mirai through the different phases of her life. With age comes new perspectives as well as new abilities on the battlefield!

Mirai isn’t the type to attack with fireballs or lasers. Her weapons are the very objects that make up the world around her!
See an orange? You can throw it! Is there a giant cake at the top of a mountain? Hurl it down at your enemies! The world is your plaything, and it’s your only weapon against the waves of monsters you’ll be fighting.
All sorts of monsters inhabit this strange world Mirai finds herself in. Fight hordes of enemies to gain new skills that will help you on your journey!
Just don’t linger too long. The portal to the next world won’t stay open forever…

Cute, fun and cozy game ! The artistic direction is really nice and the gameplay is fun and simple to understand. The game isn't too hard but can get pretty challenging at times. I really like the fact that you can choose to visit each map as you progress throught the fights. There are little secrets/funny details that reward curiosity and exploration. If you're looking for a chill game with a cozy artistic direction and that can be completed in hours then I can only recommend An Eternity Gone By ! Thank you for making this game !
Have you ever wanted to be the anime girl equivalent of Naruto looking for Sasuke? Then this games for you. Jokes aside, I had a good time with it and I think it's worth trying out for the wackiness aspect alone. The storyboard and art were also really well done. It felt like going through a comic!
What can I say? It's absolutely amazing 😁 I've been having an absolute blast playing it! So proud of the work that the team has done and are continuing to do with the game. Couldn't be happier to be the voice of Gendai. Your favorite Spider Dragon, Sebastian Volkov 🤣
this game made me realize that tumblr OC's really can come to life on the big screen
This is a nice and fun small game that i actually enjoyed. It can be a bit challenging and chaotic at some points witch were the funnest moments for me.
If you're interested in a story that spans across decades, with nostalgic anime styled graphics, challenging fights, and a unique combat system that revolves around objects in your vicinity? Then I recommend you play An Eternity Gone By. Can confirm the game is playable on steam deck.
Cool little game. - The models look nice, the 3D environments are a bit generic but fitting for the kind of game this is. I liked the area with the giant fruits. - There were a few minor glitches here and there but nothing that broke the game, so that's nice. The game also ran smoothly all the way through, no frame drops or nothing of the sort. - The "melee" attack needs a bit more polishing IMO, sometimes it feels like it should hit but it doesn't. - Even though movement wasn't bad, I do think it could flow better, and floating is way too overpowered, you just get to not interact with enemies for a few seconds. - The final boss needs a bit of rebalancing, and by rebalancing I mean "don't let it spawn that many enemies so quickly". There aren't enough weapons to focus on normal monsters AND the boss at the same time, so you'll eventually have to end up YOLOing it and praying for the best. Fortunately dying is not that punishing, you just start at the beginning of the boss fight. - Finally, I don't know what's supposed to happen if your timer hits 00:00. I ran out of time twice but I could keep playing normally, too bad I got killed by monsters right after. - The 2D art is astonishing. I loved the different artstyles used for the menu and cutscenes, specially at the end where we see Granny Mirai and young Koko in their own styles. The game feels a bit like a prototype. I'd love a Magical Girl 3D platformer made by the same devs that uses this game as a foundation, there's potential here. Thanks for making and uploading this game.
A good game. Story: Every 30 years, a meteor shower happens, and with it. Gendai, the Devourer of Worlds descend. The protagonist, went against the warnings, and convinced her friend to join her. Though, that was a mistake that would get Kako captured. The protagonist would devote their life to try and save their friend, an occurence that happens once every 30 years. System: The world are your weapons, with upgrades for time and smaller stuff at the portal. Art Style: Pretty good. Overall: It was a nice and short game, if anything. I do feel the game had more potential for the system itself. Though, I understand this is a small project. The story was pretty good, and I had fun with this.^^
What a delightful little romp! The visuals are adorable and, while the combat itself is simple, the last phase really ramps up the difficulty in the best possible way. I found myself running across each of those stages and frantically bashing enemies with the largest boulders I could find—definitely my idea of a good time. I went in this game pretty much blind, only expecting fun gameplay and a cute story…and was very much caught off guard by certain plot developments that permanently affect the protagonist and the world around her. Mirai Starblazer, you will always be famous.
twas a good one
