From the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Dear Esther comes a new first-person horrorgame that will drag you to the depths of greed, power and madness. It will bury its snout into your ribs and it will eat your heart.

Reviews
I wish I could leave a mixed review because that's how I'm feeling about this game. There's quite a few things to love here. The art direction, atmosphere, voice acting, story and the environments are all pretty well done. There were moments where you're surrounded by some big ass machinery and because of the darkness and barely being able to see much, it makes you wonder how big this machine really is and it works extremely well, in other cases, not so much BUT I still love the industrial environment and I think it makes for a great setting. I want to give a special mention to the MUSIC and SOUND DESIGN because it was PHENOMENAL, 10/10, no notes, like it was fantastic. Sadly, in the gameplay department, is where this game falls flat. As a walking simulator, this game is fine. As an Amnesia sequel? not so much. You spend most of the game walking and not doing too much. There's puzzles ig, barely any which are extremely easy to solve. There are SOME enemies and SOME might be generous. There's only like... 3 enemy encounters probably that end after 3 seconds and are extremely easy to navigate as well. Also, no sanity system or inventory + infinite lantern. The infinite lantern makes sense since the story takes place 60 years after the first game but all these take away from the core experience that made Amnesia: the dark descent so great in the first place. I did enjoy my time with this game and there are a few moments of greatness in here. It took me 3.3hrs to complete, it goes on sale for like 4 euros so def worth it but I over all give it a 6/10. If you're looking for a walking simulator with just A FEW gameplay elements, you'll love this one but if you're looking for a similar experience to Amnesia: The Dark Descent you'll probably not enjoy this one as much since in the gameplay department, it's a downgrade in every way.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

crashing pos game with a laughable plot. looks absolutely terrible as well.
The Dark Descent' 🍂

Loved Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs but i felt Amnesia: Dark Descent was a better horror game overall. A Machine for Pigs is limited in terms of gameplay but has a great story which wasn't siad in a straightforward way. It uses the same story telling method as the original, ie through finding manuscripts but the writing was confusing which is something I've noticed with The Chinese Room games. Would recommend if you're into walking simulators with some horror elements.
good
