From the creators of Amnesia: The Dark Descent and Dear Esther comes a new first-person horrorgame that will drag you to the depths of greed, power and madness. It will bury its snout into your ribs and it will eat your heart.

Gameplay: 7/10 -vessel for the story -make sure you interact with every single item -if you know someone who loves this game, play it next to them Visuals: 9/10 -the style makes it hold up stunningly well after all this time -impeccable atmosphere Sound: 9/10 -the voice acting is very good, gives you a feel for the characters talking -just not a lot to say. Good sound design is rarely noticeable Story: 8/10 -it wont spoonfeed you, gotta work to understand it -I didnt really get it fully untill it was explained to me -good twists and turns Difficulty: extremely easy -a lot of people struggle with the puzzles, but im goated I guess. Again just pick up every single item you see and try to keep thinking of stuff. -I only died a single time, and that was because I was being funny Overall, very enjoyable and worth the time.
This is personally one of my favorite Amnesia games. If you're into the style of these games, you'll definitely enjoy this one!

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very dull, confusing at points, would not recommend.
Самая короткая, но самая филосовская часть. Самая безобидная, но с великолепным звуковым сопровождением. Это история о хорошем и сильном человеке, но невезучем и с ужасной судьбой.
Before I start let me say that I do not believe in any way that Amnesia AMFP is a perfect game. Allow me to start with the negatives. The game has it's issues in terms of gameplay and difficulty. Unlike the first game, Amnesia AMFP has no real danger for the vast majority of the game. It's actually hard to die somehow, as long as you run away you should be fine in most cases. The game also holds your hand a little too much, it treats you as if you're completely new to video games. If you struggle with puzzles that'll work out for you, but to people who enjoy puzzles that really make you think, you'll probably find the game a little too easy. And then there's the obvious: you can't interact with the environments the same way you can in Amnesia TDD. In that game you can pick up essentially everything and throw it around, you can slap the grunt with a piece bread or throw barrels at the brute. In this game the interaction is a lot more limited. To sum up all the negatives let me say this: if you go into Amnesia A Machine For Pigs thinking that it will be exactly the same as The Dark Descent but better, you will be disappointed without a doubt. This game could/should have been it's own game without the Amnesia title attached to it, it simply strays from the foundations too much. But just because it isn't the same as TDD doesn't mean it's a bad game. Don't let this first section scare you out of buying the game if you're thinking about it. If I haven't lost you yet, allow me to now talk about the positives. Amnesia A Machine For Pigs has a phenomenal story. I was incredibly interested in the story side of things from the very beginning, and it never got worse. The story is very dark, heavy, and emotional. It's a haunting story of a man's descent into madness, and a story of guilt and regret. The level designs are also incredibly well made. I personally loved the more modern and industrial setting this game had compared to the candle-lit Brennenburg Castle of the first game. Both have their unique charms, and this game definitely his it's own eerie ambience just like the first game. Especially as you start to progress through the game and see/find out more about the machine - it's grotesque and dehumanising. Another major positive this game has is the soundtrack, it's incredible. That's one thing that I can easily say is still on the same level as Amnesia TDD. That final soundtrack at the end of the game is perfection, you really have to play to experience it. This game still gives you the same feelings of tension and unknown that the first game gave you, it's mainly the monster encounters themselves that aren't the same. So now for my final thoughts. Is this game the same as Amnesia: The Dark Descent? No, absolutely not. But the game is still scary and incredibly eerie. If you enjoy the story/lore of games and want something dark, twisted and disturbing, this game is definitely for you. Don't go into this game expecting it to be just as scary as the first game, though being chased by monsters and hiding in the corner watching them walk by you still feels just as scary. Go into this game and really soak in the atmosphere and story - read the notes as you find them. If you're on the fence about getting this game I'd highly recommend it as long as you approach it with an open mind. Despite it's flaws this game is still one of my favourite horror games of all time, give it a try yourself.
As a follow-up to Amnesia: The Dark Descent, A Machine for Pigs is a major letdown. Where its predecessor thrived on tension, resource management, and genuine dread, this entry feels watered down and stripped of what made the series terrifying in the first place. The removal of core mechanics like inventory management, oil for lanterns, and sanity effects takes away most of the gameplay challenge, leaving little more than a walking simulator with occasional jump scares. The enemies are rare, predictable, and far less frightening than the monsters of The Dark Descent. Without the constant pressure of survival, the horror feels toothless. The story attempts to be a deep critique of industrialization and human cruelty, but it’s delivered through overly abstract journal entries and endless voiceovers that bog down the pacing. Instead of feeling immersed in a nightmare, I often felt like I was trudging through a slow lecture. Visually, the game is fine but uninspired. The environments lack the oppressive atmosphere of Brennenburg Castle, and the world feels oddly empty. Even the sound design, usually the strongest part of an Amnesia game, falls flat without the same level of intensity or subtle cues that kept players on edge in the first title. Ultimately, A Machine for Pigs sacrifices interactivity and fear for a muddled narrative and ends up being far less engaging. It might work as a standalone atmospheric story, but as an Amnesia sequel, it’s disappointing, shallow, and forgettable.
I give this game a yes out of maybe
bundan 4 sene önce oynadığım the dark descent beni sıçırtmıştı öyle hatırlıyorum, bu ise gerilim, macera karışımı yürüme simülasyonu olmuş. Oyuna karşı nötrm ama yinede tavsiye etmeyeceğim, çerezlik gerilimli yürüme sim oynamak isterseniz oynayabilirsiniz.
bello
This is a SOFT recommendation. It's the weakest Amnesia entry, but I wouldn't say it's all-together bad. Really only for people who enjoy the Amnesia world or short story games. It's greatly lacking in mechanics, but it thankfully doesn't take too long to get through. Though it's short length makes me wonder why they couldn't just carry over oil (battery), tinder boxes, sanity. Almost like they didn't want to bother placing resources in the levels. This greatly takes away the stress that Dark Descent had. The story is well told though and it has a cool setting. Ending gets pretty crazy and was exciting. The mystery of what was really going on and why had me engaged enough.
