Awsome crunchy melle, the wepons are REALY GOOD, and the artstyle too but it can be hard on the eyes after a while, but the water sections are ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ASS, all of it, Especialy: Forge waste pools. The end erea and ending was really beutifull. (The Champion looks ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ SICK,[spoiler] a mohawk AND 3 Eyes, WOW, ok we only see 2 from the side but judging by the asymmetry of the helmet i thinks thats a fair assumption [/spoiler]) -9/10 Would be AMID EVIL again

Very strong Boomer Shooter; New Blood truly doesn't miss. The gun variety is really strong with all weapons appearing and feeling unique and viable. Plus, Soul Mode is a fantastic addition, helping speed up the game’s pace in a fun way, and making its gunplay more dynamic. Whilst I appreciate the novelty of its non-linearity, they don’t integrate it deep enough into the mechanics nor levels for it to add to the game’s systems. Instead, I found it to be a mere gimmick, and a hindrance overall because the game fails to signal clearly what the “correct order” is. This caused me to play the last, and most elaborate, level too early, undercutting my own experience with the game's conclusion. To that end, I think the game’s slightly too long. It succeeds in creating a strong variety in its levels and enemies, but the gunplay is fully introduced very early and never changes. This leads to it getting slightly stale by the end in spite of its high quality.
