Amenti, psikolojik gerilim ve atmosferik keşif türünü minimal ama son derece etkili bir dille ele alan, oyuncuyu sürekli bir tekinsizlik hissiyatı içinde bırakan tecrübelik bir yapım. Ana karakterimiz, hayatını vizörün arkasından izleyen profesyonel bir fotoğrafçı. Ancak sıradan çekimler yapan biri değil; o, işinde adeta takıntılı, gerçeği ve anı yakalamaya çalışan bir sanatçı. Oyun, görsel tasarımında ışık ve gölgenin tekinsiz kontrastını çok iyi kullanıyor. Mekân tasarımları, oyuncuya yalnızlık ve klostrofobi hissini sonuna kadar yaşatıyor. Aniden yükselen çığlıklardan ziyade; derinden gelen uğultular, ayak sesleri ve çevresel seslerle oyuncunun algısıyla oynayan, psikolojik baskıyı artıran harika bir ses işçiliğine sahip. Hikaye oyuncunun gözüne sokulmuyor. Çevresel hikaye anlatımı (environmental storytelling) ve toplanabilir ögeler vasıtasıyla, adeta bir yapbozun parçalarını birleştirir gibi hikayeyi sizin inşa etmenizi istiyor. Bazı noktalarda karşımıza çıkan bulmacalar ve ilerleme mantığı kendini tekrar edebiliyor veya türün diğer örneklerine kıyasla fazla çizgisel kalabiliyor. Atmosfer yaratma çabası, oyunun bazı bölümlerinde temponun fazlasıyla düşmesine ve sabırsız oyuncular için sıkıcı gelebilecek yürüyüş sekanslarına sebep olabiliyor. Amenti; saf aksiyon veya jump-scare (ani korku) bombardımanı arayanlardan ziyade, yavaş tempolu, felsefi altyapısı olan, tekinsiz ve yoğun atmosfere sahip psikolojik gerilim hikayelerinden hoşlanan oyuncular için şans verilmesi gereken özgün bir deneyim.

Awesome game. Pudgy has played it twice, and the second time was as good as the first. Pudgy highly recommends!

I've seen weird egyptian murals towards the end of the game and they looked all warped up and non sensical and they were clearly made by AI. It really put a sour note on a horror game I found pretty spooky. I wouldn't have been able to know if it looked good but if you take a second to look at some murals to like be immersed in the vibe of the game the hieroglyph are garbage nonsense and ugly. I wish at least the dev disclosed it on the page, It's not cool, be honest. Steam requires it. I don't want to see that kind of art. I feel tricked and considering a refund.

wow way better than expected .. one or two effects/sounds could have been more decent (dunno if thats the correct word) but overall very good .. also, i love all the surroundings! i d call it a mystery exploration trip with slight creepness .. in VR it would be a blast

Amenti is a very cleverly thought out game, however, I encountered a bug in the final chapter and find myself in a room I can't get out of or move forward. This is not a new game, so it's very disappointing that the developers have not tried to fix it. Such a shame after progressing that far! For this reason alone I DO NOT recommend it

It may only take you an hour or so to complete but it's got enough jump scares, puzzles, atmosphere and a decent small story to keep you intrigued.

This was a really good fun game. Kind of like a haunted house. There were a few times you didn't know where to go next as some of the corridors were similar, could've used a map. I really don't like dark games with flashlights but it worked well here. Still wish some areas were a bit brighter. The ending was kinda poopy. And what was the point of the photos? Otherwise a really good fun game. The artwork and artifacts were a very nice touch. Lots of heiroglyphics. very cool. A walkie talkie or phone or video link with others would've made it cozier. But I'd definitely recommend it and hope for more.

The game provides enough jump scares to make it worth the price. The game seemed short though as if I was surprised that the game was ending when it did.
