I like Shooters with procedural generation, either randomly generated levels or randomly placed enemies. So I wanted to like this game, but Unfortunately This one has one fatal issue : shooting is not fun. 360 degree rotating shooter in an extremely low resolution is a really bad idea. It's very tiresome to aim and shoot the enemy with it. The hit defection is also not very good. To make the matters worse, Your basic pistol has very slow firerate speed, horrible accuracy, and very weak feedback which make beating the early levels really boring. I hate when games give you very weak basic weapon and force to use it for long time. Doom's pistol is equally awful but you can quickly get better weapons, and the basic weapons in Smash TV or geometry dash has fast firerate speed with enoughly satisfying feedback so using the basic weapon is not losing the fun. Overall, I don't like this game as it's a shooter that doesn't do shooting very well.
This was an instant buy for me after the developer's previous efforts on the game Skein (go check it out if you haven't). I am a huge fan of pixel art games and I was fascinated to see how the developer could make this game work with such a low resolution. I am really enjoying this so far. It is a fun game to play in quick bursts - and is something unique given the low res graphics.
Not the best thing to play in PC. I think it fits better as an android game (don´t know if that's possible due to how controlls are), autosave, not very deep gameplay and small levels: that sounds like something i would like to play in my phone/switch. For me it's an alternative to Spelunky when I play while listening some podcast. It is worth its price
Fun and immersive survival game to challenge yourself. Hit detection seems a bit off, but it'll probably be fixed.
Really enjoyed this one! Elements of Smash TV and some roguelikes in there too! Fantastic, especially for the price, deffo worth picking up!!!
I put this on my wishlist the day it came out (I was in the GameDev group on FB). Great game, enjoyable and really well polished (even for a 2-bit style game). The mechanics works just right and the guns are satisfying to shoot. The starter gun is as balanced as it should be. I like the shader effects I encountered in level four with the bouncing enemies (really impressive to do that, I have 0 understanding about shaders). If you like rogelikes and the 2-bit style he went for, this is the game for you. Mechanic-wise is it a mix between TBoI and EtG. Can I just ask for maybe a controls-editor or WASD-to-ZQSD function? I have an Azerty keyboard and in my games I tend to put keyboard-type-toggles in. Alt-Shift isn't hard to do but it gets annoying while eg. trying to chat with a friend while playing. Edit: grammar
Great little game.
The idea is great and the price is really low. The worst part is the font, is very difficult to read.
