Alone In The Dark to kawał świetnego survival horroru! Trudno mi uwierzyć, że ta gra tak słabo się sprzedała i miała raczej umiarkowane oceny, uważam że została niedoceniona. Nie grałem w oryginał z 1992 roku ale to, co dostaliśmy w tym reboocie jest naprawdę godne polecenia, właśnie szczególnie osobom, które z oryginałem nigdy się nie spotkały. Czytałem, że zmieniono tu nieco historię ale myślę, że to był dobry pomysł bo fabuła Alone In The Dark jest mocno oparta na książkach H.P. Lovecrafta a szczególnie na mitologii wymyślonej w tychże więc dla miłośników Cthulhu jest to wręcz tytuł obowiązkowy. Rozgrywka to typowy survival horror z rozwiązywaniem zagadek, szukaniem kluczy do otwarcia drzwi czy szafki, czytaniem notatek i walce z monstrami. Na ogromny plus zasługują przede wszystkim klimat i lokacje bo poza rezydencją Derceto mamy również jakby równoległy świat, w którym odwiedzimy między innymi cmentarz czy bagna Luizjany. Klimat jest tu dość gęsty i parę razy nawet podskoczyłem, nie tyle z powodu strachu a z powodu rozładowania napięcia, które mi towarzyszyło przez większość czasu. Dodam jeszcze, że zakończenie było mocarne i atmosfera wydarzenia była wręcz Lovecraftowa pełną gębą. Minusikiem jest tu walka bronią białą, która jest raczej dość sztywna i nie czuć wagi uderzeń. Ja i tak częściej używałem broni palnej więc nie był to jakiś ogromny problem. Gra jest dość krótka bo mi przejście zajęło niecałe 8 godzin ale był to świetnie spędzony czas i na pewno do Alone In The Dark kiedyś jeszcze wrócę. Szkoda tylko, że tak słaby odbiór zakończył się zamknięciem studia i prawdopodobnie marka ponownie zostanie zakopana na dłuuuugie lata :( 8/10

9 h fajnej historii :) gierka na jeden dzień bo przydaje się z niej pamięć, chyba, że ktoś grami chce się dowartościować poprzez "osiągnięcia" i ogląda w sieci co trzeba zrobić, a później je wbija. Ja wolę własne wybory i ścieżki :) Polecam za klimat, historię i widoczki.
The ending of this game really caught me off guard, and in a great way. This was my first time with an Alone in the Dark title, and it did not disappoint! I wish I would have played it sooner, and heck, I still have another playthrough with Emily to complete. I don't understand why this game has mixed reception. Is it a 10/10 masterpiece? Not necessarily, but it is far from bad, or even average. Alone in the Dark has several positives and only a few negatives. The Positives: Excellent atmosphere Fun/gory combat challenging puzzles Exceptional narrative Great graphics WTF ending The Negatives: A slight lack of enemy diversity - while the enemies that are present are freaky, gnarly, and fun to kill, I wish there was more variety, or at the very least different looking versions of the same enemies. Some slight stutters were present here and there A lack of boss fights - the boss fights that are in the game are quite fun, especially the ending one, but I wish there were a few more encounters that were above fighting common monsters Alone in the Dark is pretty much a Lovecraftian take on Silent Hill set in 1930's Louisiana, and I love that. I absolutely recommend if you are a fan of Resident Evil, Silent Hill, and anything Lovecraft related. Overall, I rate Alone in the Dark a 9/10

Незаслуженно низкая оценка в стиме, как по мне. Да, хреновая оптимизация, да, корявая боевка, но от загадок и сюжет хоть кайфуйте. Серьезно, игру стоит пройти как минимум ради того, чтобы побыть в роли алкаша-детектива 30-х годов Америки, который шизеет по ходу игры. Ну и да, я как бы быдло, которое не выкупило за весь сюжет, поэтому пойду на второй заход за другого персонажа в надежде дособирать этот паззл. Потраченного времени и денег не жаль, рекомендую к ознакомлению.
Советую! Плюсы: Очень интересная и глубокая атмосфера. Хорошие загадки. Знакомые лица в главных ролях и отличная озвучка. Хорошая история для любителей "неописуемого ужаса Лавкрафта". Было здорово ощутить себя связанным с этим злом и культистами. Возможность узнать несколько историй при этом связанных друг с другом. После одного прохождения понимаешь что срочно нужно второе ради истории). Но есть и минусы Порой баги, артефакты. Пару раз глючила камера и помогала перезагрузка. После одной катсцены пропала возможность ближнего боя и пока не погиб она не вернулась. Слабая боёвка, простая ввиду простых противников, но до конца игры казалось, что будь тут кто опаснее я погиб. В целом советую и всем любителям таких историй желаю.
