About
Allumeria takes a classic voxel sandbox and combines it with in-depth progression through exploration, dungeon crawling and boss battles. You will constantly be discovering new weapons, abilities, resources, enemies, structures, mechanics and tools. The game has a strong focus on discovery and creative freedom.
Allumeria provides advanced building tools not present in other games. You can change the shape of any block on the fly. Want glass stairs? Want a dirt fence? You can do it! Allumeria has a full RGB light engine. Create dimly lit cozy cabins, or bright neon cities. Monsters only spawn on natural blocks, so you are free to experiment with dark and light! The Paint Roller allows you to paint ANY block in the game, with no limitations. Want to use bricks, but grey isn't your style? Just paint them blue! Multiple palettes are available, from colourful, to earthy, to pastel.
Allumeria focuses on providing an in-depth experience for every biome. Your story starts in the forest biome, and you will travel to other biomes in a quest to become more powerful. Each biome has brand new resources, enemies, mechanics, dungeons and bosses, top to bottom. A single biome represents an entire new chapter of your story, not just a new grass colour.
Allumeria has a simple but diverse combat system. As you progress, more abilities and weapons open up. Start with simple swords and crossbows, then expand your arsenal with explosive bombs, shock arrows, fart guns, snowball cannons, boomerangs, shuriken launchers, frying pans, baguettes, and a myriad of other wacky items. You will uncover equippable trinkets that expand your movement abilities, allowing you to sprint, granting regeneration, gliding, flying, jumping and climbing.
Allumeria is an Early Access game. This means the game is going to continue being updated with new content and fixes to improve it even more, with community feedback in mind. The game has already been shaped by many peoples ideas, suggestions and bug reports, and it will continue to improve with your help. The game is already packed full of content, but there is so, so much room to grow.

Terraria + Minecraft = <3
3d terraria
I didn't like this game. It felt too short and buggy. First boss could auto target kill you through walls and then when you do get smoked, if you revive underground, well don't worry he can keep smoking you through the entire map. Each death costs half your money so the game is just playing with you. I didn't find this enjoyable. I think the reviews are hyping it up too much. People say its like minecraft...Maybe if minecraft had 5% of its content?

minecraft but good and not owned by microsoft
Very fun and comforting game. I am addicted to it! Even though it's in early access right now, it's got so much content already. I love that you can easily turn blocks into different shapes with the radial menu. It makes building so much easier and more fun. And you can paint basically any block using the paint roller. Also, I love that you can place torches underwater! I really hope that is an intended feature!
Really enjoying it up to now and it runs perfectly on the deck. I'd definitely recommend this game for anyone who likes building things and also who enjoys survival games too. It feels a lot like a cross between terraria and Minecraft and I was actually really impressed with the cave system and all of the traps that are inside as this was unexpected. I've not done much exploring yet but I am collecting lots of ores to craft the armour so I can. I play with an external controller and the developer had an issue I spotted fixed in less than a week which was massively appreciated.
I would say you should wait until the game has been developed further. Has lots of potential, but also currently has lots of issues that are excusable due to it's early development state, notably lots of bugs and lack of content. World is finite and not very large, I'd assume that it's intended to have infinite generation in the future, I'd be very surprised if not. I also hope each biome eventually gets its own version of the Undergrowth instead of that one biome taking up the entirety of that cave layer. Combat is lackluster and underdeveloped, Sword Blocking is useless because attacks aren't telegraphed and it takes way too long, many weapons and enemies feel the exact same etc. Lots of the gear in the game is just the same as previous things but with better stats, and for the few unique weapons- the game has the same issue as Terraria where you can't upgrade/level equipment to keep using it throughout the game, unless there's a direct/indirect upgrade. This in my opinion is bad design and my biggest issue with Terraria (this is why Terraria Otherworld was going to have weapon leveling). The game has no clear direction in conveying the way it wants you to progress, while also wanting you to do things in a specific order, and it's super easy to break the sequence of progression and make parts of the game really trivial or just skip them. This is the accumulation of many poor design choices and inconsistences in how you progress, a lot of the progression seems really experimental rather than following a clear design. I'm not saying progression should be predictable and repetitive, but it should make some sort of sense, which it currently does not. I'm not going to go into details because I don't want to spoil the games existing content.
This is an exceptional game, for sure there are some shortcomings, but i pray for its success. Liked: - Immersive caves and excelent looting system for early game - Intuitive progression via Compendium - Interesting world generation - Multiple weapon choices with nice mechanics - Blocks can take the shape and color you desire - The game difficulty is balanced and fun - Boss fights are really enjoyable Mixed feelings: - The world is small, this may not really be a problem but coming from Minecraft it is weird Disliked - Nothing as of now I would recommend this game if you got bored of your 2 week Minecraft phase ;)
