Castle Must Be Mine is a KingdomRush-like tower defense game. But developed for VR. In addition to constantly collecting Coins to building and upgrading defensive towers, also need to make full use of all kinds of skills and props to stop the "enemies" into your castle.

at 39 years old there isn't much that makes me feel like a kid, but this game did it. I positioned the game table at shoulder height and stand right in the middle of the game. feels like I am a kid playing on the floor preteding to blow thigs up. my favorite is the tornado. when I release it I get right up close to it and it makes me smile every time. I loved tower defense games on the phone, but this is a whole new experience. All and all one of the best games I have played in VR. Thanks to the folks that put this one together.
The thing about this game that irritates me is that it addicted me to play it to death, and now having 3 star scores on every map, I have nothing to fill the void until more levels come out. Serious VR Crack! I can't wait for more content, not that it lacks a proper amount, it's just that I freaking LOVE this game and want it to keep growing and growing. Climbey, Racket NX and this are my top 3 VR favorites.
I cannot believe such a simple game has given me sooo many hours of enjoyment! 10/10...would through spiked traps at the trolls from the top of the castle again! when the game came out, it had a map. now? It has a map with multiple sections. The creator adds more content and I have been following it closely. I have all stars in each section and this is what keeps me going. Getting all stars and making sure those nasties don't take my castle!
Awful FPS drops on Valve Idex - DO NOT BUY - The fps drops to literally less than 1 whenever you hover over a tower point, which is quite crucial in this game. And this is with app resolution set to 70% running a 1080TI Unplayable.
**** UPDATE **** If you are an Index owner, or a Vive owner using Index Controllers like me, you would be wise to steer clear of this game as I don't think the developers are going to fix the bugs this game has with the setups I've mentioned. The game plays OK for a few minutes but then every time you interact with a tower location the framerate takes a massive nosedive and it becomes almost unplayable. As you are constantly building and upgrading towers, especially at the higher levels, this game is, for now, unplayable with Index Controllers. I guess it still works OK with Vive wands or an Oculus setup, so I'd still highly recommend it for owners on those systems. Such as shame it's now no good for Index users. As you can see below, this was one of my favourite VR games. I hope the developer does eventually return to this game as I still feel it has lots of potential customers. **** ORIGINAL REVIEW **** ** My Pick for this years' 'Game of the Year Award' on Steam ** After nearly 70 hours in the game this is one that I keep coming back to time and time agin for a couple of rounds each seesion. I've completed all of the levels with 3 stars but it's the endless (survival) mode that I most enjoy playing now. I haven't been able to get anywhere near the top of the leaderboard on either of the three maps but I always strive to improve my position. This is a very neat little tower defense game in the vein of the mobile game 'Kingdom Rush'. You could argue that they have stolen many elements from that title but that doesn't stop this being one great VR game. Well worth checking out and great value even at full price.
Don't buy if you own an Index. bad performance issues and extremely frustrating with the index controllers.
I'm a big fan of tower defence. As a result I like this game, and I think it's a pretty good start for VR tower defence. But, if I have to be honest, as a tower defence - it's really quite rudimentry. There are only 3 tower types (arrow, magic, and cannon). The balance between the towers seems to be strange also
(cannon towers seem quite underpowered compared to the others, usually the mission goes better if you ignore them or only build 1)
. You also have a hero which can draw aggro of a single enemy to keep them from advancing. There is also a spell that can be cast such as a tornado or a fireball. And finally, the castle itself usually has some sort of defence of last resort (such as boulders or a cannon), with limited ammo. The draw of this game is that there are moments when things get pretty hectic. The player will be building towers, casting spells, managing their hero, and occasionally jumping into their tower to use their weapon of last resort. It's fun, but it is somewhat limited in strategy and does get a little repetitive. I think the devs should put in more tower types, such as flame towers that hit in a line, or lightning towers that can chain attacks, and frost towers that can slow. Maybe implement temporary powerups for towers. Additional hero types, or powers would also be useful so that there are different ways of defeating each level. Something to give this game more complexity and replayability, is really what I think this game needs. Otherwise, currently this is a decent start for VR tower defence, but a mediocre tower defence at best.
Spectacular game. Truly. I got the HTC Vive a while back and have been mostly disappointed at the dearth of games out there for the platform that aren't horror (I'm a big ol' scaredypants!). This game, however, is easy to pick up and play, but incredibly challenging in the best ways. The graphics are exactly as good as they need to be, and the gameplay is exceedingly satisfying. It says a lot for a game of this few levels that I've come back over and over again to play the same maps to get my 3 stars. I think it says more for the game that, despite the number of hours I've played, I still haven't gotten all of them - and I'll keep trying. :) Definitely worth the price of admission.
Feels like a prototype for a good TD game. Unfortunately it never became more than that.
