Aliens vs. Predator™

Bardzo fajna gierka dla fanów dwóch najpopularniejszych kosmicznych stworków, chociaż muszę przyznać, że AVP 2 było chyba bardziej rozbudowane... a przynajmniej miało dłuższe kampanie, a z kolei pierwsza część AVP miała pewne aspekty, które powodowały, że mimo że ta część jest najstarsza to jednak w pewnych kwestiach bije "dwójkę" jak również tę część na głowę (np. przerażeni marines walący na ślepo w kampani predatora, czy respiący się losowo obcy co powodowało, że nigdy i nigdzie nie byłeś bezpieczny.... tym niemniej ta część też jest fajna. Polecam - szczególnie na promocji

Las campañas son tremendas, la jugabilidad, la ambientación, los gráficos envejecieron bien... Juegazo.

Pretty fun, but shows it's age. It definitely feels like a playstation 3/xbox 360 game. The 3 campaigns are fun because the stories intertwine with each other. The story isn't too complicated but you definitely need to play all 3 campaigns to understand all of it. The maps are all re-used for each campaign which could be seen as a negative but I thought it was fun to re-visit each map with a different perspective. As for gameplay: Each of the 3 campaigns has a quite distinct playstyle. The marines are a pretty basic shooter. The vast majority of the marine campaign is fighting aliens with a brief period where you fight the predator. You have a small selection of familiar guns that you've seen in any other shooter. It's genuinely satisfying to kill the aliens but I wish the predator sequence was longer. The predator campaign was much more stealth focused. You have a wide variety of tools, both melee and ranged to choose from and I found myself naturally wanting to try all of them. The fighting is an even mix of humans and aliens. I think this campaign overall was the most balanced. The alien campaign was almost entirely stealth. You die extremely fast so most of the campaign is spent lurking in the shadows trying to lure individual marines to you. You're able to knock out light sources to obscure yourself which is marginally helpful but I honestly didn't engage with this mechanic a ton. Like the marine campaign you only fight the predator in a specific sequence which was also disappointing here. You're also able to move on the ceilings or walls which was an interesting twist that I don't think I've used in the same way in any other games. I found this campaign to be the most interesting from a mechanics standpoint but overall it was a bit disappointing because it is very short (maybe 2 hours or less?) and I wish you fought the predator more. Overall this was a fun game as long as you can overlook the ways in which it's dated. 4/5
