Gierka 10/10
I thoroughly enjoyed **Aliens: Dark Descent** from beginning to end. The developers did an excellent job capturing the tension and atmosphere of the *Aliens* universe while creating a tactical game that constantly kept me engaged. I played on **Medium difficulty**, and it felt perfectly balanced. It was challenging enough that I had to replay several sections and rethink my strategy, but I never felt like the game was being unfair. Every successful mission felt earned, and preserving my squad became just as important as completing the objectives. By the end of the campaign, I had only lost two marines, which made those veterans feel like characters I genuinely cared about. The real-time tactical gameplay, squad management, and constant sense of tension made every deployment exciting. Deciding whether to push deeper into a mission or extract before things spiraled out of control was one of the game's greatest strengths. My only criticism is the injury recovery system. Marines often remained unavailable for **7–9 days** after missions, which sometimes forced me to skip deployments simply because my core squad was recovering. A slightly faster recovery time for moderate injuries would have kept the campaign moving at a better pace without reducing the challenge. Overall, this was one of the most enjoyable tactical strategy games I've played in years. It stays true to the *Aliens* franchise while introducing mechanics that make every decision matter. If you're a fan of tactical games or the *Aliens* universe, I highly recommend it.
The game has an interesting premise and a fitting visual style but the mechanics often feel half-baked and shallow, two steps short of achieving the minimum of their potential. The worst point though is the DEI/woke injections for 'representation' that are present on insane level. France is black and brown, and the French developers vowed to show it in 'Dark Descent.' I cannot recommend this game.
The game nails the Aliens lore and atmosphere. But suffers from some bad mechanics. I think I had to reload saves at least 100 times in the final mission. It's a stealth tactical RTS.
Great tactical game that really captured the colonial marine feel from the movie.
Awesome game! I haven't played these types of games since Jagged Alliance but I absolutely loved this game! The atmosphere and story are great — honestly better than some of the movies. I really hope we don't see the last of it, especially now that Alien Isolation also gets a sequel.
its a great game. its got a few rough spots and small bugs but an overall complete and solid experience.
Jogo muito bem feito, com bons personagens e história bem desenvolvida. Recomendo para quem gosta de RTS!
A fantastic game set in the *Alien* universe. It bears an incredible resemblance to *Aliens* (the second film). I hope there will be a sequel or at least some substantial DLC. The developers did a brilliant job capturing the world of the Xenomorphs and the Colonial Marines. Of course, I shouldn't just heap praise on it—the game does have minor flaws, but overall, they are negligible. I rate the game 9/10; it loses a point simply because a sequel hasn't been released yet.
