Alicia Quatermain 3: The Mystery of the Flaming Gold Strategie Abenteuer von 2018 und sehr gut. You're on the road again as Alicia Quatermain. It all starts on a Sir Gringray ball. There was an unplanned surprise at this festival. Just as the celebration is in full swing, a ghost suddenly appears, steals the Gringrays family heirloom, the sword of the seven seas, and disappears without a trace! You probably know what needs to happen now, look for it and get it again. Follow Alicia to the ball and witness a new, incredible story. Leave everything lying there and let's go! The third part is much heavier than its predecessors. Therefore, the age group of this occasional example is only suitable for everyone under 100 years. But probably not under 10. The cutscenes are really good, in comic style, and the story is very nice. Very imaginative 50 cards that you can play through. I recommend it ..... have fun. This is a click and play game, has 3 levels of play to choose from, one of which is a Zen version so you can play without time limits. It has decent graphics, an available tutorial that can be turned off, and each level's goals are easy to understand. However in good conscience I can't recommend it to others. IF you can only play the Zen (un-timed) version of the game because of age, or physical impairment(s), or you are differently abled you are punished by not being allowed to play the bonus level which you need stars to play. The bonus level is the: Restore the Museum Level which you must use stars you have earned while playing. You are not given any stars at all when playing the Zen version. You also can not complete all the accomplishments for the game. I find this to be discriminatory and therefore can't recommend this game, nor will I purchase any other games by this developer as long as they continue this practice. Other game developers do not discriminate against players so why does this company?
Good game.
Short version: 66%
On its own, Alicia Quatermain 3 is a hectic time manager with an inconsistent difficulty curve and distinct, yet repetitive mechanics. As a part of the series, it is step both in the right and the wrong directions.
Long version:
A stolen artefact made from a mysterious metal. A chase around half of the world. An ancient forgotten underground civilisation. A twist ending with a bonus chapter almost as long as some other games. To make it better, unlike the studio's other time managers, this one tries to build an actual, simple story with its pre-level dialogue snippets. For the most part, The Mystery of the Flaming Gold follows the same mechanics as any other time and resource manager, with only two significant things to spice up the formula. Many levels contain a crafting station that adds a stage-specific fourth resource type on the usual food/wood/gold trio. It seems like a small addition, but it helps a lot with the gameplay variety. I wish I could say the same about the thieves, but they are just annoying. They spawn every ten seconds and block all characters but the dog. They are the biggest reason for that low score. The rest of the game has its ups and downs. There are several enjoyable stages with excellent progression, and there are a few where meeting the goal times is nigh impossible. The difficulty curve is janky, but overall, Alicia Quartermain is still an enjoyable time manager.
I've completed the first two Alicia Quatermain and most 12 Labours of Hercules. I've enjoyed them and was looking forward playing this one. What a disappointment. Even though the unbalanced difficulty of the levels made me cringe more than once, my main complain is the damn "thieves": they're appearing way too often (sometimes very close to the edge of the screen), they're blocking characters (strangely enough, only on their way out to resources) and can force you to start a level all over. After much cringing (and swearing), I've decided it was enough at level 23 and uninstalled the game, which is a first for a Jetdogs game for me. As I've seen many players complaining about this, I really wish the developers replace these thieves by the classic thieves (stealing resources but not blocking characters) they're using in other games. I might consider finishing the game after that.
Alicia 1 and Alicia 2 were enjoyable time-killers that merged solitaire with RTS. I played those games through, insisting on earning all 3 stars for every level and completing all of the achievements. Alicia 3 takes this great formula and sort of ruins it with a "guard" mechanic, where you are constantly being nagged to click at just the right time, or else your other workers will fail to achieve their assigned task and you have to re-initiate that task all over again. I understand that the devs are trying to mix things up a bit and make it a bit more challenging, but this "guard" mechanic is just tone deaf to your core audience's wishes and pretty much destroys any motivation I have to continue playing. I just finished Level 23 and honestly, I'm just tired. I am usually a completionist, come hell or high water, but I am *not* going to complete this game. Bye, Alicia!
Aquele jogo pra você matar o tempo e não se preocupar com nada. É só ir clicando.
Not as good as the first 2. You literally have to be perfect to have any chance to get 3 stars. They needed to give a little more leeway, cuz it ruined the fun of the game
A clear the road type of management game with 50 levels to play through. I did enjoy the first 2 games in this series, but this one adds two very annoying elements to it that completely killed my enjoyment and made me dislike the game: - some sort of bandits that just get in the way by blocking your roads randomly - darkness. I really hope the 4th game won't have this anymore. Works without issues on Linux with Proton (Proton 7.0-1).
