Alexia Crow and the Cave of Heroes

A short puzzle game. The riddles are not so easy because so less hints, so you need to search. Most riddles you need to try many tries to find out how the puzzle work and how you get trough it. I love this game, it has for a low budget project a great charme of the old greece and a strange story about Atlantis and Timetravel. Dont aspect to much for this indie game but give it a try. I give this game 73 for over 1,5 hours of fun. So best buy this game with a discount 66 % or higher and support the developer for next games. I hope you enjoy it a bit like me. Thanks for reading.

[h1]Short version: 58%[/h1] Alexia Crow is a casual adventure/puzzle from the time when browser Flash games enjoyed large popularity, with all the assorted simple fun and low-resolution graphics. [h1]Long version:[/h1] As one can guess from the store images, Alexia Crow is a casual adventure that started out as a browser game, later ported to mobile, and then somehow ended up on Steam. So, don’t expect complicated controls beyond simple mouse clicks. Like most mobile-oriented adventure games, it is more like a collection of various one-screen puzzles, where the difficulty comes from the lack of instructions, hints, or a skip button. While most puzzles are straightforward enough, don’t be surprised if most of your registered play time will be spent by trying to solve “that one dam[i][/i]n puzzle”, whichever may that be for you. Although I had fun with this little game, I am hesitant to recommend it for two reasons. One is that the original Flash versions are still freely available on many web sites. The other is that this release only contains the first two games (and it doesn’t seem like as if the third will ever be added), meaning you’d have to play the last part in a browser anyway.

I am sorry but I am not sure who these millions of people are but I am going to hazard a guess here that they are either blind, deaf or made-up. This is a casual adventure that I am told started out as a browser game and it clearly shows. As someone who grew up on Sierra and Lucas Art adventure games, Alexia Crow is poor imitation of the adventure genre. While the graphics are servicebale considering the quality, the script, the voice acting and the puzzles are in dire need of some major attention. To put it bluntly, they are mostly terrible. The story, if you want to call it that, is an incoherent mess, the voice acting incredibly poor and the puzzles way to easy that the pot plant on your desk could possibly solve them while you are AFK. The entire experience just reeks of amateur hour. No thanks, this is where Alexia Crow and myself part ways, as I shan't be continuing on with this series[/i]. [h1]"Alexia Croft ... ehm ... Crow is a puzzle fan[/h1] Nice little flashgame with loads of challenging puzzles. As mentioned chapter2 and chapter3 will be released for free and maybe with some extra achievements. Sure, you can play the game for free on some flash pages. But the standalone has achievements and autosave. Also the playthrough is slightly different which you will encounter if you rely on video walkthrough guides ... The game doesn't give many hints. So the puzzles seem pretty hard and also the HOG elements. The story turns from ancient statues to a futuristic timetravel conspirancy. That's not what I've expected and quite surprising. Only problem are sometimes the quirky controls to drag a ball with your mouse through a maze of scattered monitors. If you drop it you are lost. Get it on sale or in a bundle and you'll have fun with the puzzles.

This is not a HOG, but it could easily be one. They took all the ♥♥♥♥♥♥ puzzles that are the worst parts of HOGs out and made a game completely comprised of them. They also took out any semblance of a hint system or suggestion of where to go so I just said ♥♥♥♥ it and got a walkthrough to make my hour's time less painful. I made it through the first chapter and then the thing glitched out and didn't give me an item i needed to progress so I said ♥♥♥♥ it I'm done. The voice acting sucks, the puzzles have been in a hundred other games, the interface is terrible and caused me to fail one puzzle several times just because I didn't click exactly where the game wanted me to. Not happy with this one at all and glad it's out of the way, even though I didn't know it was coming or what to expect from it. Just avoid this business, kids

This game is a point and click game which really throws you into the game without any guidance at all. I will say that although I was able to figure out some of the puzzles by myself, I became so lost at some points because there was not even a single hint in this game. Some of the puzzles were fun, but ones such as the dragon head one were just stupidly impossible for me. The voice acting of this game is pretty good, but this game really isn't that worth it. Overall, not that great of a game unless you like getting thrown into a game without any guidance at all. Rating: 6.5/10 Recommend Price: $0.24 or under

Alexia Crow and the Cave of Heroes is very short, enjoyable P&C puzzle game. It's easy to get 100% achievements you just have to finish the game.
