Airship: Kingdoms Adrift is an airship trading and combat simulator, set in the wake of a Great Sky War that ripped through the steampunk world of Spheara. An uneasy cease-fire holds between the Aecerlian Kingdom, the New Viridian Republic, and the Teutonic Confederation. As they lick their wounds, their suddenly jobless soldiers and skyfarers look for new opportunities among the desolation.
Enter the Suthseg Archipelago. A far-flung frontier ruled by an aging king, it was spared from devastation of war and is a land full of riches and opportunity. It is here that fortunes will be made, loyalties tested, and skyfaring captains will get the rare chance to carve out a future of their own.
You are one of these captains, commissioned to establish a trading company in the Archipelago, and soon pulled into a game of grand politics… and grave danger.

Suthseg is a vast archipelago with over 70 known settlements and untold riches awaiting intrepid explorers. Pilot your airship across the expanse, seeking out new partners to trade with, resources to exploit, and hostile vessels to send plummeting to the ground below.
Select from more than 30 distinct types of airships, each customizable with scores of weapons, armor types, special equipment, and more. Will your airship be a lumbering ironclad bristling with weapons? Or a nimble monitor that could punch out an opponent well above her weight class.
Then take your personal ship and tackle more than 500 handcrafted encounters with dastardly pirates, competing merchants, local militias, and skyfaring manowars of the great powers.

Seek out merchants and deal in over 300 different trade goods, from essential supplies to cutting edge airship weapons. Buy low, sell high, and amass profits to make even the richest merchants green with envy!
Industry and armaments are the backbone of the economy. Establish mines, lumberyards, foundries, and pour these resources into your own factories, to fund and maintain the greatest skyfaring fleet in the archipelago.
Devise one of a kind strategies! Will you be the bane of pirates, seizing their ill-gotten gains? A titan of industry, carefully carving out an industrial empire? Or a heroic trader, charting trade routes where nobody would dare?

What starts as a straightforward commission will soon draw you into the world of treachery and grand politics, as dozens of rival factions clash over the fate of the Kingdom!
Navigate across the treacherous currents of modern politics and the dramatic changes wrought by the ceasefire that finished the Great Sky War.
Most importantly, take control and change the course of history. Who will be your foe? Who will ultimately prevail in the skies of the Suthseg Archipelago?

I really like that game. I love ship/pirate games, and this one is kinda give me that vibe. :)
Good game of its kind, Dev are still improving it and making it better and better.
This game is a blast! Very Anno-coded but with fun airship combat. Upgrading ships is fun, there's a ton of plot to dig into, and the economy is interesting if hard to wrap your mind around. It is not easy in terms of on-boarding, the UI can be a bit clunky and the supply chain takes significant time to setup and act on. If you like simulating airship combat, complex economies built around interlinked supply chains, and long real time journeys you'll have a blast.
This is a solid game featuring some really impressive mechanics. As someone who enjoys a variety of game genres, I appreciate the depth of the resource management and the level of control provided by the custom ship combat tuning. If you love games with high complexity, this is a great choice.
Quite an enjoyable game, but I find, like most ship naval combat games, you and your opponent will circle each other and whomever can take the longest beating, wins. Still, with city upgrades, and ship customizing, there is a lot here to enjoy. I cant recommend paying the full price... or even half price... but if you can find a good deal on it you will likely enjoy some time with it.
I have played until the end of the first quests (up to when you form your own company). I recommend because the worldbuilding feels alive and engaging so far, the combat has a good balance between fun and challenge, and the ship modding is down my alley. However there are many areas of improvements, I think the game is still in development, so for the devs: the most annoying thing so far is that my character has no voice at all. I feel that the first mate, Jean, is talking for me and over me all the time. Please, include a character making screen so I can have a picture of myself and make the dialogs so I can feel I am being addressed and to be able to talk. This lack of personhood feels more and more frustrating as the story goes. Another thing that could use some improvement: there are no changes in the ship when I change the parts, like adding more or less cannons or the plating material does not change how the ship looks. This would require to rework the ship assets and how they work in the engine, but I think it would greatly improve immersion. Ah! and also, when moving from the sky to port and vice-versa, it clearly looks like there is a loading screen and we are moving out of one engine to another, if the transition could be smoother or the city be in the same engine as the sky it would also improve immersion. I have not played that much, so I cannot comment on later parts of the game, I hope the world can continue to feel alive. I would recommend the devs to have a look at a game that also combines RPG elements with an open world to explore, merchant system and live battles: Mount and Blade Bannerlord. Although it has many many elements that need depth and refinement, players can play for (in game) decades witout being bored because of the various ways of "playing the game" (mercenary, merchant, noble), the posibilities of interacting with the NPCs (companions, archenemies, lieges, parthners, children), and how the NPCs can interact with each other (declare war, ally, marry, kill, etc). Best wishes, and I hope development continues.
I was genuinely excited about Airship: Kingdoms Adrift because the idea behind it is fantastic. Building and customizing your own airship, flying through a steampunk world, engaging in airship combat, and exploring the skies is exactly the kind of game I've been looking for. The core concept is incredibly appealing, and during my first few hours I had a lot of fun simply flying around, upgrading my ship, and taking in the scenery. That's why it's disappointing to say that, after about 5 hours, I started feeling like I had already experienced most of what the game currently offers. A lot of my time ended up being spent flying back and forth for delivery quests and repeating similar combat encounters. The gameplay itself isn't bad—in fact, I think the foundation is very strong—but there isn't enough variety or content yet to keep that initial excitement going. What makes this frustrating is that I can clearly see the potential. The airship mechanics, customization, world design, and overall vision are all there. I wanted more reasons to explore, more unique encounters, more mission types, and more things happening in the world. This feels like a game that could easily become something special with continued updates and additional content. For now, I'd give it a 5/10 based on my experience so far. Not because I dislike it, but because I think the game hasn't fully realized its amazing concept yet. I truly hope the developers continue building on what they've created, because I'd absolutely love to come back and play again in the future. Right now, however, I don't feel the current amount of content justifies the $30 price tag.
