Reviews
Although clearly inspired by Toaplan and Capcom shooters, in the end this is a sloppy euro-shmup. The level design is so haphazard that it could as well have been randomly generated, with indistinctive basic enemies. The game is made almost entirely of stock assets, and the cutscenes and unlockable gallery consist of AI illustrations. It is also pitifully easy despite its haphazardness, with boss encounters that can easily be safespotted. Easily my least favourite SEEP game to date.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Matched by title — a reused name can pair the wrong games. * is a critic aggregate. Prices and positions are each store's United States storefront; Epic charts worldwide. Audience and Score too, except Steam's, which is worldwide.
Clearly made by some people who love old school shooters, but this one doesn't quite get the balance right. Stages are so brief that you never really feel like power-ups are particularly useful (when they do appear), and level design is often so cluttered with enemies that you are best off tanking a shot or two to charge your bomb, which allows you to ignore the level design entirely. You never get the sense that you are weaving through carefully designed patterns, or making meaningful decisions. Airborne enemies die in one hit, and I rarely ever paid attention to them. Grounded enemies meanwhile take roughly a dozen hits to destroy, so in most cases you are better off simply trying to dodge them. Bosses are uniformly underwhelming, with most of them posing significantly less of a threat than the preceding levels. Occasionally they will shoot out a bored laser or lethargic bullet, but I should never feel like reaching the boss means I essentially beat the level. I even beat speed mode on the first try, apparently this is a challenge mode, but the levels are over before you can blink, with most enemies not even having enough time to fire off more than a shot or two, which actually makes it substantially easier than the "normal" version of the game. I still hold out high hopes for these guys! Maybe this is a one-off dud.
What is this trash? There's a good half dozen titles from SEEP's catalogue before this one I don't like, but I always found some positive qualities in them and saw they were made with competency and some passion. Not here. This is an absolute bottom of the barrel shmup, as short as it is unpleasant to play and look at, and made worse by how the use of AI-generated pictures - the alleged "incredible pixel art artwork" - has just become blatant and unmistakable at this point. And of course, the store page description says nothing about that. It's not like the very low price (the lowest of a SEEP game since the first Swords & Bones) can justify the lack of effort; this was better not being made and published at all. It really hurts seeing a small developer I respect sink to such a low level and, for what? Having a +1 on their list of games sold on Steam? What a downgrade for the protagonists to go from a fine game like Biomech Hell to this...
SEEP has made some good games, but this is awful slop. Enemies flood the screen at all times with apparently no thought put into their placement and your firepower is very weak, so you're better off avoiding 95% of them. The levels are very short, thankfully, and only the 5th and last might give you problems. The boss designs are completely braindead and barely do anything. Perfunctory garbage story about terrorists. Somehow this is related to Biomech Hell, which is a solid run-n-gun. It's definitely the worst shmup I've ever beaten, though.
Short video review: https://youtube.com/shorts/NyzUMurc4pA?si=RGGj5eqIaEiZKBph TL:DR Airborne Justice is a really fun vertically scrolling schmup that is fast paced with tons of things to shoot. It is much easier than most games of this genre and I consider that a good thing as you can actually enjoy it without dying to ludicrous bullet hell patterns every 3 seconds. Hardcore fans of schmups probably wont love this game but it is perfect if you are looking for a good, accessible schmup
