A well-designed little arcade game. Strong recommend. Way more people should play this. The best part the game gets right is that even in the late-game, you still feel like you're playing the game. Other games of this type become automation simulators, and while that's present here to an extent, you never stop playing the game, which is great! Well done. Replayability is fairly limited because all maps feel the same, but the core gameplay loop is good enough for replaying the game a couple times, and still be able to enjoy it. I also wish we had more map sizes to pick from, or perhaps a map where you could control regions of it independently. Performance is stellar, graphics are nothing to write home about but they are pretty decent. I have some UX nitpicks (picking waypoints/routes should be made more convenient, there should be 1-to-many route junctions, and there should be a hotkey for the ruler), but the UI never got in my way, which is also great! Well done. I kind of wish there was more of a variety in aircraft types. While there were many type codes, there were only 2 "big types" - one that can go 350kts, and one that can only go 280kts. That's as much as the automation cares about, at least. I'd have loved to see more business jets and small planes, a recommended airspeed and not just altitude etc. The game is all learnable, and you don't actually need to know anything about real-life procedures to play the maps. However, the only really big negative I have about the gameplay is that the game doesn't hold your hand enough through the initial bout of automation. If you're intimately familiar with arrival and departure procedures, (and have an irrational hatred for Free Route Airspaces for some reason), you'll do just fine. But if you don't know the exact traffic flow the map expects, you might feel like trying to play whack-a-mole with a blindfold a bit. I had to play every map I played twice - one to get familiar with the flow, and one to do the automation proper. I haven't encountered another game of this type where this was the case. Overall a fun little game that'll fill at least a couple days of constant playtime. A steal for the price they're asking for it.
can get busy ,keeps your mind going at 100mph ,if you like a simulator that keeps your mind busy try this, great devs.
Air Traffic: Greenlight is an air traffic control simulation developed and published by GyroX that places players behind the radar screen instead of inside the cockpit. Rather than emphasizing action or spectacle, the game focuses on the complex responsibilities of directing aircraft safely through crowded airspace. Every departure, arrival, and routing decision demands concentration, making the experience feel like a genuine operational challenge instead of a simplified management game. Its design is built around realism, rewarding players who enjoy planning, organization, and maintaining calm under constant pressure. The game's most distinctive feature is its radar-based gameplay. Unlike many strategy titles that provide complete visibility of every moving unit, Air Traffic: Greenlight limits radar coverage, requiring players to remember aircraft positions after they leave monitored areas. This mechanic creates constant tension, as controllers must anticipate where aircraft are likely to be while continuing to coordinate new arrivals and departures. The result is a rewarding system that values situational awareness and careful planning over quick reflexes alone. Every safe landing feels satisfying because success depends on accurate judgment rather than luck. Progression comes through the gradual expansion of radar facilities and operational capabilities. As players improve their performance, additional radar stations become available, extending visibility and allowing more advanced traffic management. This creates a natural learning curve where each improvement introduces new opportunities alongside greater responsibility. Instead of simply increasing the number of aircraft in the sky, the game steadily expands the tools available, encouraging players to refine their strategies while handling more demanding situations. Environmental realism is another major strength. Wind direction plays an active role in airport operations, influencing which runways should be used for takeoffs and landings. Players cannot rely on fixed routines because weather conditions evolve throughout each session, forcing continuous adjustments to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow. Terrain also becomes an important operational factor, with airports surrounded by realistic elevation data that requires careful altitude management during approaches. Descending too early or failing to account for surrounding mountains can quickly turn routine procedures into dangerous situations, reinforcing the game's commitment to authentic aviation principles. Aircraft diversity adds further depth to the experience. Different airplanes feature their own operating characteristics, including approach speeds, climb performance, runway requirements, and speed limitations. This means every sequence must be planned carefully, especially when mixing slower regional aircraft with faster commercial jets. The game also introduces operational challenges such as fuel shortages, requiring controllers to prioritize aircraft that cannot afford lengthy delays. These situations create meaningful decision-making that keeps gameplay engaging without relying on artificial difficulty. Air Traffic: Greenlight offers an impressive collection of operational tools that allow players to customize airport procedures. Approach routes, departure paths, holding patterns, missed approach instructions, waypoints, and altitude restrictions can all be adjusted to create smoother traffic flow. Rather than forcing players into rigid solutions, the game encourages experimentation and optimization. The included replay functionality is another welcome addition, allowing completed sessions to be reviewed for mistakes or shared with others. It transforms every play session into an opportunity to improve performance and develop more efficient control techniques. The available content also contributes to the game's longevity. Players can manage operations at numerous airports inspired by major international aviation hubs, each featuring layouts that create unique traffic management challenges. Combined with a large selection of aircraft models and hundreds of airline liveries, every airport feels distinct, encouraging players to adapt their strategies to different environments instead of repeating identical routines. This variety significantly increases replay value for those interested in mastering multiple airport configurations. Visually, the game favors a clean and functional presentation that prioritizes readability over elaborate graphics. Radar displays, flight information, and navigation elements remain clear even during busy periods, ensuring players can focus on decision-making instead of fighting the interface. While the presentation may appear understated compared to visually ambitious simulation games, its practical design complements the gameplay extremely well. Likewise, the audio design supports immersion without overwhelming players during moments that require intense concentration. The largest obstacle for newcomers is the game's steep learning curve. Understanding aviation terminology, separation procedures, and airport operations takes patience, and the game does not disguise the complexity of its subject matter. Players looking for a relaxed or highly accessible management experience may initially find its mechanics demanding. However, those willing to invest time into learning its systems will discover a rewarding simulation that consistently challenges their ability to think ahead, prioritize tasks, and remain organized under pressure. Overall, Air Traffic: Greenlight delivers a thoughtful and authentic air traffic control experience that successfully transforms a highly specialized profession into an engaging strategy simulation. Its emphasis on realistic radar management, dynamic weather, terrain awareness, aircraft variety, and detailed operational customization creates a deeply satisfying gameplay loop for aviation enthusiasts and management simulation fans alike. Although it demands dedication and careful learning, the depth of its mechanics and the satisfaction of mastering increasingly complex airspace make it a standout title within its niche. Rating: 8/10
Good gameplay loop to play for hours
Game is fun, well done and can be a challenge at times. It is 100% not for everyone! But, if you like logic puzzles and get a glimpse into what the ATC does, this is good. It is not 100% like the real ATC, but close while keeping it accessible.
What a nice little [strike]nightmare[/strike] gem! I wish there was an option to scale down the display of fonts (within the UI), because on a 4K monitor they become practically unreadable when **** hits the fan.
I love this game and the time literally fly's by! For the price it is great...takes a little getting used to but love the unlocks as you progress. Hours of fun with this.
Plz update more airport like SIN,HKG
its idiotic how such a simple game can only be played on windows computer. I want to play this game on my work computer but i cant. Disappointing.
A solid ATC simulator that isn't very realistic, but it's good enough to keep the brain occupied on the task of managing air traffic in a sector. I enjoy it because it doesn't strive to be like other ATC games that just want to overload you. The options & number of adjustments to the look & feel of the game are very impressive and makes me coming back for more. The one thing I don't care for much is the SINGLE antiquated robotic voice. Come on - this is 2025... get some decent AI voices!
