I wasn't sold at first sight on this game/simulator. The graphics and having to earn "radars" seemed gimmicky. However I was totally wrong. If you are looking for a really good ATC radar game this would be the one. As an airline pilot I like the ATC side of trying to manage airspace. It's not easy. It requires attention, strategy and most of all having a contingency plan. Air Traffic allows you to make holding patterns, routes/airways, SIDS and STARS. You can add constraints to fixes. You can modify takeoff instructions so aircraft turn or climb to a predictable area. All in all you can modify a lot in this sim. There is way more to this sim than meets the eye, and as I said, as an airline pilot looking for an really good ATC sim this is certainly a good one. My only wish was that the graphics where a bit better, Just a bit. I feel like it's a 1990's video game presentation. I wish I could make the aircraft data block a little smaller than its smallest setting. Other than that it is really really good and worth the price to play. Cheers!
This is the ATC counterpart to Nuclear Option for me. A perfect balance of sim and game. It's simple enough to jump in and get going easily, but deep and complex enough to keep me engaged.
This game is actually really great. It's like crack for my ADHD! You take on the role of an AATC (Area Air Traffic Controller) as opposed to the other games where you're the ATC at an airport. So, you're the person the ATC at the airport hands departures off to. At it's current price, it's a steal.
My new favourite ATC game, and I have played quite a few. It's extremely addictive, be warned! :)
Very fun with the numerous different choices for airports. I do love the level of realism. Would definitely buy again.
While Global ATC Simulator provides a similar play-loop, and 14 000+ airports, Air Traffic: Greenlight delivers on a "progression system" that allows you to gradually install systems improving autonomy and reduce workload/increase capacity for only a handful of carefully designed airports. A very interesting twist to the genre. After only a few hours of gameplay, I feel this is a gem. Lots of options to cater for various playstyles. Problem solving on many levels. All I miss is a good "airport" editor so we can fill the workshop with our own creations. Totally recommended!
Having a number of ATC games in my library I can safely say this is the best one to be released in the last few years. It's exactly what I've been looking for in this style of game.
Fun little ATC game for the price. Definitely a much better deal than Tower 3D if you are between the two.
This is an excellent representation of being in a TRACON and although it is a game and not designed to be an exact simulator it is very very good. It gives you a true feel as to what the professionals do every day keeping the skies safe and pushing tin.
Just tried this again recently. It's gotten good enough that I won't run it without coffee at hand. ATC should never go unfunded: another lesson the game teaches by implication. Thanks, controllers, for all you do.
