Ageless

a Unity game for 15–19€ ????? WHY? its like Geometry Dash or Hollow Knight just with a little story, u spend most of the time at the beginning just playin through it so you cant get a refund

After spending 10 hours beating Ageless, I walked away unhappy by my experience. Specifically with the following issues: - Hit Boxes are not reliable - Key input and delays/lag led to a lot of infuriating moments - Some levels did not load properly, even after verifying the game multiple times, I had to take alternate approaches that luckily worked. Overall the games bugginess led to a poor experience. I would not recommend this to someone who enjoys platformers, definitely meant for people with lots of patience and happen to have this game in their steam library looking to finish it.

破产版蔚蓝+奥日，实在是让人很无语，就感觉非常的LOW-B。我算是比较不挑游戏的，当让我库里800+游戏一般也都是特别好评及以上，当时得到这款游戏是从慈善包，主要是看到画风和横板以及支持中文，就想着随便玩一下，结果真的玩不下去。 感觉开发者是不是一群大学生第一次创业，非常的业余，游戏内容完全没有任何的设计感、层次感、交互感。 总之，我也决定从库里移除它了，褒贬不一或许还有一部分人是因为画风和支持中文，要我说绝对值得一个差评游戏，要我说有玩这游戏的时间，去打蔚蓝和奥日的全成就啦！

Ageless is such an odd game. The art is great, the story is fine, the character movement is perfectly serviceable. this should be a perfectly serviceable 6 or 7 out of 10 game. Like, on a "10 is a near flawless masterpiece, pinnacle of gaming, 5 is bog standard neutrality" sort of scale. But it's not. Devil's in the details here. It's the way you instantly go to the direction select when touching something in ageless mode, constantly leading to restarts. It's the way you clip through some things when they're aging/regressing, leading to undo frustrations. It's weird design, the early tutorial has parts where even the steam guide spends three minutes trying to figure out WTF to do. There's heart here, genuine effort, and it has enough good that I feel really weird about giving it a not recommend. But I couldn't bother finishing it because I just didn't want to, and I can't recommend a 10+ hour game that I stopped after 4 (then stopped again on the second chance years later).

There are already many great positive reviews that explain this game and its mechanics very well, so instead I'll address the negative ones. As of May 2026, the game has Mixed reviews on Steam, and many of the negative reviews complain about the same things: controls and difficulty. Personally, I think the game should recommend playing with a controller. In fact, most platformer games should. I've played a good number of platformers, and I only recently started using a controller for them. Trust me - it makes a huge difference. This genre is simply designed around controller gameplay. Yes, you can play with a keyboard or rebind keys, but in the end, that doesn't make the game bad, nor is it the fault of the developers or the player. It's just the nature of the genre. Platformers are often difficult even with a controller, and while keyboard controls are possible, they usually don't provide the same experience. As for the game itself - it's amazing. Great story, beautiful art style, and a really creative gameplay concept. It deserves far more recognition, and people shouldn't leave negative reviews simply because they found it difficult to play.

I rage quit after an hour if you like a challenge however you might enjoy it more than I did

If you can look past the clunky controls/physics, it's not the worst way to spend your time. However, I found myself rage quitting sooner than I anticipated after trying hard, and only finding a frustrating platformer that made me want to replay Celeste instead.
