An overall nice experience, with cool dialogs and characters. If you find it with a good discount (i.e. 70%) this is a gem. Otherwise wouldn't bother at full price unless you are really really into detective story games. The mind tree is a pretty cool system.
"Redicule Parrot: No Need to Read" forgets that writing is imperative for detective games. I will keep playing but seriously? At one point I skipped all conversations, open the "mind palace" (so original), and easily solved the "puzzles". How? well, here's a hint: they placed the nodes that you should combine in such a way that the lines don't cross each other (mostly). So I literally just searched for the nearest nodes that use the same nouns and... Done... Sad. Really. Agetha deserves more than this. From wimp the keen: Even wimps redicule Hercule.
I would generally recommend this game to those that like playing the detective. It was not a very polished game and it was frankly boring at times. It was slow moving and at times really left you to explore and figure it out for yourself, which is not a bad thing but I found myself several times bored and just wanting to move the story along and get this over with. I would give it a 3 out of 5 generously because I like this series and am someone who just wants to play a detective game sometimes so it hit those marks and met that expectation but it literally put me to sleep a couple of times - which I guess could qualify it as a cozy game?
I've enjoyed this game very much! It's been a lot of fun, the graphics are cool and the storyline is very interesting. Can't wait to hear everyone's secrets. (There's quite a few grammatical and spelling mistakes throughout the game, but nothing to be done about it, I guess.)
this mind map way of deduction is pretty good
Pretty basic detective game, with simple game mechanics, a little repetitive, but the story is very Agatha Christie-esque and keeps you going. Actually everything other than the story is quite basic: The graphics, the voice acting, the music, the detective side (just look for the connections that make sense regarding their arrangements on the board, so whichever appear with an exclamation mark, are closer or connected via a vertical or horizontal line and not interfering with other connection threads, is usually the one you are looking for) Great for: - Unwinding after a stressful day, not really getting the gears spinning - Playing with one hand, not button-mashing or complicated controls - Giving it as a gift to your grandma, not your Dark Souls-playing younger brother Sorta like a BigFish game on steroids. Enjoyable though, if you take it for what it is
Extremadamente aburrido y me gusta el tema de resolver cosas pero esperaba algo mas tipo layton y menos the (slow) walking dead
Highly addictive and very fun to play! If you already like playing any Poirot, Holmes, or Drew mystery titles, you'll really enjoy this! It's got a cosier feel than some other mystery games I've played, which just adds to it's charm.
