About
Adventure of Samsara is a mysterious, 2D Metroidvania action-adventure that captures the spirit of the original Atari 2600 title, Adventure, and takes it in an entirely new and unique direction.
With stunning, 2D pixel art, Adventure of Samsara combines classic gameplay, a deeply connected world, and a heady, twisting narrative of death, rebirth and memory. Developed by the Brazilian studio Ilex Games, players take control of the Solar Champion, a long-dead Plutonian resurrected by the primordial light of the Sun. Tasked with reactivating a mysterious interdimensional fortress, the Champion must restore balance to the multiverse.
As players battle through a series of diverse, interconnected biomes and confront brutal mutant bosses, they will unlock new abilities and enhancements – each revealing deeper layers of the game’s enigmatic, cosmic narrative. The game lives in the spiritual landscape of the original Adventure, brimming with its core elements of exploration, curiosity, and hidden secrets. Not a remake or sequel, Adventure of Samsara instead asks players to search for subtle references to the very first adventure game as they journey through a remarkably deep world.

Release timing was poor coming out at the same time as silksong but the game is solid almost has a souls like feel to it and plays really well. Highly recommend to anyone who likes a good metroidvania.
Mystery, method, and classic innovation. Many may find it slow, but it's fun.
The game feels like Out of This World and Prince of Persia mixed together to form a great metroidvania! The game definitely has trade offs; clunky jump/hanging from bars but no damage from projectiles sometimes when finishing climbing animation. So you take the good, you take the bad, you take them both and there you have Adventure of Samsara! Seriously, if you're looking for a fun, challenging metroidvania that doesn't break the bank and will give you hours of fun, this is the game your'e looking for.
awesome game! the mystery draws you into a different world that meshes scifi and fantasy pretty well. its more casual then it looks, very nice game to load up when your done for the day. my only gripe is i wish the enemy animations were a tad bit smoother, but maybe thats on purpose to capture the retro feel.
I think the Devs were trying to give movement a "deliberate" feel, and it does have that but also feels clunky. This may turn some people away, but if you are able to get past the clunk there is a serviceable MV here. Nice atmosphere, but the story seems like something thrown together as an afterthought.
Fun little game that fulfilled my metrodvania craving after playing Silksong. Beautiful mysterious pixelated-art world Movements are a little clunky, but you get used to it and adds to the oldchool charm. I enjoyed the world design, exploring the map and finding all secrets. The more upgrade you find the easier it is to navigate the world. Bosses have good design and ideas, but are mostly very easy. The only difficulty comes from the clunkiness trying to avoid attacks. The last few bosses were deceptively easy when you are fully upgraded. Overall cool game that I managed to finish, there was a little something that made me wanna complete it!
Jeux super sympa. Perso un peu lourd mais on s'y fait
Think there is a really good game here. Hopefully they continue to work on the gameplay because it’s very clunky. Takes a minute to get used to over a full second of delay when you jump while hanging. Don’t try to double jump until you see the character finally jump up. Gonna need that for the worm boss. But exploration is really fun and has a nice sense of progression with lots of powerups.
