[h1] Mini space exploration at its best! Discover new planets and asteroids, collect fuel and fly to another system. Make sure to be efficient and strategically take into account where you want to fly next also watch out for gravity. Essential title for space enthusiasts. ADIOS bros - I'm flying into deep space! This is simply one of my favorite Rogue lite experiences out there. On PS4, i've easily got at least 100 hours trying to get every last collectable, trophy and clear requirement. The viewing camera is fantastic and the sense of scale and physics in space is absolutely perfect. Before you know it, you're zipping all over the place and sliding just past stuff, scanning it as you go. You'll be breaking asteroids on planets and scanning the suns in no time and everything feels great. The music will forever stay in your head and each song is really long so it takes awhile to unravel and fits the setting and vibe of the game really well. The backgrounds are sourced from actual space telescopes?! It's great and this version on Steam has 4 players, much more to collect and quite a few more ships, hats, secrets and other stuff, i'm glad i finally took the plunge with it and can't wait to dip another couple hundred into this one! More games like this plz, clever physics, unique worlds, signature style, grooving music and lots to find.
ADIOS Amigos: Galactic Explorers is truly meant for a group of player but does not mean you will not enjoy it on your own! The game is great for all ages, not to heavy on the price point and the ART STYLE alone in my book makes it worth the buy. Blockhead APPROVED!!! My daughter was afraid to fly and repeatedly asked me to helm the ship. Then we saw an abandoned space station in the distance. I boarded but failed to estimate how i would jump off the ship with the cargo i found. I started floating into space and had no boost left. "You have to fly the ship and pick me up" My daughter took the helm and fired the engine so hard the ship crashed right into me sending me careening away. She was heartbroken and flustered. I said, "You can still pick me up". She accelerated the wrong way right into the sun! This game is incredible and worth every penny. I still laugh at the scenario every time I think about it.
The most fun you can have teaching your kids orbital mechanics. A highly re-playable and charming little romp across the galaxy. Great music, endearing graphics and challenging to master for adults but easy to play with children using rookie mode.
Couch co-op Delta V for kids (and grown ups). If you've been looking for a way to impress your kid with your knowledge of orbital dynamics, this is it. It's awesome to execute a Hohmann transfer from a planet to a derelict space station, disconnect it's AA power core, then try to snake it back out of the station to steal its energy before the powerless satellite crashes into the sun. It's not a perfect game, but they did an amazing job balancing the simulation so it's fast enough to not be boring, but never feels _completely_ out of control. "Never" may be too strong — see "crashes into the sun".
This game really deserves more love and attention than it got. It's a fun little space-travel simulator and can be surprisingly challenging.
Lots of fun. Cool physics. Great music. Hella replay value. Thanks, devs! Update: Finally got 100% achievements. I am still having fun working my way up the leaderboard. <3
This is a great little game. I bought it many years ago without ever playing it, but fast-forward 5 years or so, and I'm having a blast playing together with my soon-to-be 7 year old son. (Although, since we found the ground shuttle, he mostly hangs around in it and lets me do the dangerous exploration on foot. Much to my dismay, because it uses up that precious energy we need to get further in the game.) A word of advice; It might start out slow, but it gains depth as you play it, and discover more collectible items (that are reusable in future playthroughs) and new star system types. There's almost something new, every time you play it. As a space buff, I can't think of a better way to casually teach your child orbital mechanics (or learn about it, yourself). Maybe KBS can compete, but it'll have to wait a few more years. :)
