Adelantado 4 Aztec Skulls

The first three Adelantado sit somewhere between time management and casual city-building sim, with long, sprawling levels with lots of freedom in placing buildings and a focus on exploration. I have quibbles with some of their design and story choices, but their unusualness made them interesting and memorable. Adelantado 4, on the other hand, is basically a reskinned Roads of Rome: New Generation, with short levels and very little freedom, and missing the exploration aspect that I liked so much about the earlier games in the series. It's fine for what it is, but if I wanted Roads of Rome: New Generation, I would've just bought that instead.

[h1] Adelantado 4 Aztec Skulls [/h1] Collection game of 2018. You take on the role of Master Miguel Sanchez leading a voyage of discovery into the New Land. On your quest for the Aztec skulls, manage resources, collect gold, explore new areas and help the natives. This in brief about the game. In my opinion this is a sequel to the Adelantado Trilogy in terms of content, however the gameplay is almost 100% Roads of Rome. Too bad they didn't take over the great setting from Adelantado, but that's good gameplay. The game is therefore a pure collecting game and there is even a street that you have to clear. There are also many buildings and maps that are really good. A great mix, I liked it. However, this game is completely in english. Clear recommendation for children and adults. Meiner Ansicht nach ist dies Inhaltlich ein Nachfolger der Adelantado Trilogy, jedoch ist das Gameplay fast 100% Roads of Rome. Schade das sie nicht das tolle Seting von Adelantado übernommen haben, aber so ist es ja auch ein gutes Gameplay. Das Spiel ist demnach ein reines Sammelspiel und es gibt sogar eine Staße die du Freiräumen mußt. Es gibt auch wieder viele Gebäude und Karten die wirklich gut sind. Eine Prima Mischung, mir hat es gefallen. Dieses Game ist jedoch komplett in englisch. Klare Empfehlung für Kinder und Erwachsene. Gameplay is nothing like the Adelantado Trilogy, but it looks the same. Don't be fooled - unless you just love to look at it and not actually play it.

It is one of those clear the road type management games with 40 levels to solve. The first 3 games in the series were quite different when it comes to gameplay compared to this one but while some people don't seem to like the change I actually prefer it this way. The only problem is that it is not a particularly great game in the genre as it lacks the very basic function of scheduling tasks in advance which sucks. Other than that it is not too bad. I wish I could give it a neutral rating, since it is not terrible but not great either. But since I can't do that it shall get a thumbs up for in my opinion improving. Works without issues on Linux with Proton (Proton 7.0-1).

Wololo! Ach ne, ist ja gar nicht Age of Empires. lol ;-) Obwohl es Adelanto 4 heißt, ist es auch nicht wie Adelanto. Hä, was denn jetzt? Will ich euch verkackeiern? Nöö! Das Spiel ist 1:1 wie Rome vom gleichen Verein. Also ein reines Zeitmanagement-Spiel. Wie z.B. Hercules oder Rescue Team. Es hat also nicht diesen Einfluss von Adventure und Mini-Wirtschaftssimulation mit dabei. Ihr müsste also nur auf dem sichtbaren Bildschirm die Wege freiräumen und Ressourcen sammeln, um das in der Zeit zu schaffen. Macht aber wie immer verdammt viel Spaß! Zumal man keine Straße durch den Bildschirm bauen muss, wie es bei Rome der Fall ist. 40 Missionen bieten euch sicherlich genug Unterhaltung für 5-6 Stunden, wenn man auf Leicht spielt. Auf Schwer wird man wohl das Vielfache an Zeit benötigen, da man so sicherlich immer mehrmals starten muss, um Gold zu bekommen. Tipp: wie alle Spiele vom Hersteller den Monitor auf 60hz runterstellen, sonst läuft das Spiel schneller! Ich kann es euch allen nur empfehlen!

Ich bin enttäuscht, die ersten 3 Versionen sind viel netter. Hier fehlt das Abenteuerelement, es ist nicht mehr eine Spielfigur dabei die alles erkundet- auch kann mannicht mehr frei bauen, sondern nur vorgefertigte Baustellen aufbauen.

Does not work in wide/triple screen. if you have that then save your money. The others did, kind of strange?

Game mechanics have changed from previous three Adelantado games. No longer have the ability to construct buildings where ever you might want. Instead, you're given a layout of established buildings and are capped in the total number of workers you have available (starts with one for the initial levels). Also, it doesn't allow you to stack up assignments to be completed...instead, you have to wait until a worker is available (i.e., not busy or returning with supplies) before you can task them. Its a bit irritating, actually. But, each level is more tight...set number of tasks to accomplish and a clock, so still engaging.

Nice games. Good artwork. You can see them improving each time. Finished all 5 of them in a few days.
