Score – 5/10 (Average) If you’re already familiar with the games included in this collection, are looking for some AI to play against and don’t mind the fact Cribbage doesn’t appear to be working correctly, then this game could be worth a go. However, for anyone not familiar with the games on offer and French isn’t your native tongue, you’re probably going to struggle figuring out how to play them and if you’re not into traditional card games in the first place, this game isn’t going to change your mind. https://www.choicestgames.com/2019/04/adecke-cards-games-deluxe-review.html
A simulator with tiny details. Many visuals elements, It respect the old traditions and can be appreciated by the new generation. The gameplay is smooth.
My review Although the Games within are not new to me its nice to see someone who put the card games i play all the time into a pc game. Now the ratings, 1. Can the game be broken out of. This means the player can get out side of maps. NO this is a card based game and has no use of game breaking mechanincs 2. Can the player kill themselves via arrows or other projectiles [think destiny shooting water to suicide] Card based and casual so there is no real death but it is quite fun and interactive to say the least. 3. Can the mechanics be broken. [I.e] can controls be configured in a way where moving shooting and eating {Runescape: Jagex.} that breaks the game. The controls cannot be broken in anyway other then trying to turn your mouse off or unplugging your keyboard. 4. Are the controls configurable in a way that prevents movement. There are both keyboard controls and mouse controls and neither of them are map able in a way that breaks the mechanics of the game 5.Does the feel of the controls go well with the movement of the players. (i.e do the controls make the movement feel like it lines up with button presses?) Yes yes it does. when i click my mouse the cards move at the same time fluidly and satisfyingly as though the maker of the game knows how to set the game up for keyboard mouse and controller 6. Does the map and rooms line up to be seamless. Yes they do, while its not technically a room the board works and functions seamlessly enough for testing 7. Is the music right for the game or does it need tweaking. While I didnt hear any music I did see options for a mute function and i was using media player to listen to my own music. 8. Can the player use their own music in game or does the music in game have a mute function. Yes both 9.During testing does the game have fps mistakes or glitching. There was slight pixel fragmenting during load up but after full load and idle for a few seconds the graphic issues were cleared 10. Is the game Playable to an extent the tests can be completed and reviewed. Yes the test was run smoothly and will be enjoying the game for months to come. Did not enjoy this game. Very rough, with unintuitive interface and lack of tutorials. With some QoL improvements this can be a fun experience
General: Rating: T Price: $9.99 Genre: Card Time played: 1.8 hours. A collection of card games that you can play against AI. Games include Cribbage, Military Whist, Bull, ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Hockey and Speed. Gameplay - 4 The menus were confusing and not intuitive at all, when I finally got into a game there was no instructions or tutorials. I think the dev expected everyone to know how to play all of these games. I went to play ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, since i know that game, but was disappointed it’s only against AI opponents. Where’s the fun in that? I’ve only known ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as a drinking game with friends. Also the game is called ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the store page, but in the game it’s called President. The full game name was Presidents and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Also the acheivements call the game ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ as well. When looking at options for a game you can select another game and the options menu doesn’t change to reflect the change. You have to quit out of the options then select the new game and then go into the options for that game. Also there’s a house with a door. I’m guessing that leads home, but sometimes it’s on the menu other times it’s not. Instead of an exit there’s a button that says Quit, but sometimes it changes to Quitter. And sometimes that will quit out of the current options, or it will kick you out of the entire game. When I first played there were no instructions, no information at all, now there’s a help button that puts a little box that gives you instructions on the current game and what you’re expected to do. That was actually helpful and with more improvements like this i’ll gladly change my review to a positive one. Dragging and dropping cards was tedious at best, to be fair I only tried it on one or two games because it was that annoying and I didn’t want to deal with it anymore. An example is that I was playing ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, in the first round I had to GIVE a card to another player, the instructions informed me that i should give a USELESS card to the vice president, but it says i’m the vice president, i picked a card tried to move it up to the GIVE area it wouldn’t go. Once I tried to put it back it then accepted the card. However, before pressing GIVE i wanted to change the card b/c I found a better one to toss. Nope. Can’t change the card, can’t take it back, nothing. The instructions were also not in great english. Again you can see the dev is trying but it’s jarring to try and read. Continuing my example from above, I was the second person to play. The first put down a 2 of hearts. The instructions tell me to choose a card to play. I have three 2's. Why can’t I place them? Why can’t I place any card? The instructions just tell me to put any card, but all I can do is move them up and down and nothing happens. Story - N/A Graphics - 6 There’s nothing ‘great’ about the graphics it’s cards and you can change a few of the features, like the size of the cards, the type of table you use to play cards. The avatars are mostly blank faces. The cards look fuzzy around the edges, there’s a lot happening on the screen and it seems like the UI is forced. Controls - ?? The mouse worked to select things and move around. However since i couldn’t get things to work 50% of the time i’m not sure if they were working correctly or not. I see that the Dev has added controller support but I have no interest in even trying that. Repeatability - 0 Having played for 20 minutes I decided to give it 1 full hour so I could write this review. After that I plan on deleting the game and never looking back again. I’ll keep looking for updates but I have a feeling this is all it’s going to be. Music - ?? I didn’t pay attention. I have no idea if there is even music. Multiplayer - N/A Which is a huge mistake if you ask me. Initial Thoughts: Oh a game from curator connect, let’s see cards this could be fun. 2 mins later: Okay clearly english is not his first language but that’s okay he’s trying here. 2 mins further: none of these games have instructions. Well I used to play ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ I’ll … there’s no multiplayer. How am I supposed to get drunk and play against people and make up annoying drunk rules? Yeah i’m not playing this. Soma Says: This game is obviously a labor of love someone tried very very hard to make a great card game. My problems with the game come from before the update, there was no information on how to play the individual games, the menus are janky at best. Clicking in some places would do things but not undo them. It was hard to even finish a game. In fact I spent about 10 minutes trying things and just gave up. I waited and waited, months later the dev updated the game to include controller support and added instructions to the games. Okay now I can play. I played a game or two of Bull, never played it before but managed to win. Which brings me to the next major problem, bull is you and a teammate against 2 other people, but if my teammate is an AI, how can i make plans or table talk? Well fine but seems like a missed opportunity. I forgot about the game and here it is a little past a year later. No updates since October and the game remains an ‘almost good game’. It’s got too many flaws and is missing too many quality of life improvements. Just adding multiplayer would make it a good game in my book. The instructions helped but there’s still a lot of things in the menus that don’t make sense or are just ‘janky’. In its current state I can’t recommend the game. I believe the dev tried very hard and props to him/her/them. Hopefully they can continue working on this and make it into a game worth playing. I will be waiting for that. Cards games players can play for decades on the same game. It's a great value for players. Six games and enough customizations for cards games lovers.
