The Story
---------------------
On May 5, 1961, America launched its first astronaut into space, following the Soviet Union's earlier achievements. This mission was known as Freedom 7, also referred to as Mercury-Redstone 3.
Unfortunately, the mission failed because the spaceship was unable to navigate the hazards on Mercury's surface.
60 years later, on the same day in 2021, NASA finally invented a sophisticated vehicle called Acrobatic Car, so the mission has continued.
7 adventurous clowns, willing to leave Earth, were sent to Mercury to claim the Redstone and bring it back. They sought to prove their heroism and show that they were more than just "nothing but clowns".
The 7 clowns were professional and trained enough for the mission, but once they landed, they realised they were not the only ones going for the Redstone, another clown named SkilledBird was seeking it too.
He was so skilled that his abilities had never been seen before. Rumours say that he is an alien from another planet, others say that he was a champion in the world of Elasto Mania but came to this world for an unknown reason.
Whatever the truth is, they have to beat him, be faster than him to get to the Redstone before he does.
This car is not running
https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2824087762
STORY
Missing.
GAMEPLAY
The gameplay is a strange race. We have a car driven by a clown. And he has to drive around the area and collect different balls. In theory, there is acceleration, engine overheating and other subtleties. However, this does not work in practice. The car just barely drives. Unacceptably slow and boring. Consider the pros and cons of the game, sum up.
PROS:
+ Not detected.
CONS:
- There is no driving dynamics, the car drives very badly. - Graphically the game looks unsightly.
CONCLUSIONS
Maybe the idea was good, but the execution is just awful. There is simply no game. Habe euch ein Gameplay zur Verfügung gestellt: https://youtu.be/_qeJilSa09A ___________________________________ (English): First of all, the game is free from the developer. So test the game as you find it. The game can be controlled completely with the keyboard. I have successfully completed the 10 training levels. The game is simply made but is fun and sometimes frustrating because you jump into the laser and have to start the level all over again. Possibly add save points if the levels are longer. You can navigate the speed with Up and Down. If you let go, the speed will fill up again. With the turbo you have to press the C button and the turbo will fill up again when you are back on the ground and driving. I'm not a fan of building routes, but there are some who can definitely build routes artificially. With the X button you can switch the green to turn off the green wall or make the floor visible. Just try out the game and give feedback to the developer. If you're bored you can play the game in between. I have provided you with a gameplay: https://youtu.be/_qeJilSa09A
I guess before we get into it, I think it's worth pointing out that this game was quite possibly at some point part of a scam or something shady. More on that later... games must first be reviewed at face value. Then we can have fun with conspiracy theories. "ACROBATIC CAR" is a mobile app tier 2D "physics driving" game, and I gotta say, as a game developer if you underperform Unity asset pack game templates, you're not delivering anything of value to gamers. Seems harsh, but here's an asset pack that's better than this entire game: https://assetstore.unity.com/packages/templates/packs/2d-racing-game-76989 The graphics aren't great, basic 2D placeholder graphics at best. That's understandably a turn off for a lot of gamers, and it's a big contributor to the failure of the game to attract gamers despite having no up-front cost. Gaming is a primarily visual medium, and if developers want to succeed, they must understand that it's not an area for compromise. You deserve better than compromises. So this isn't a game with any value for gamers, that's not surprising. Most games on Steam aren't very good... Steam Direct ushered in a tsunami of self-published garbage. But it also opened up opportunities for shady characters to abuse the store for their own benefit, to the detriment of gamers and genuine developers. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging TWO HUNDRED UNITED STATES DOLLARS for this. Now, maybe that's just the developer being stupidly optimistic, but that pricing is often used by shady Russian asset flippers and can be an indicator of money laundering... the bigger the price, the fewer transactions you have to do with your stolen credit cards. Now, there's no evidence in this case that's what happened, and we must give the benefit of the doubt... but the fact the game was priced that way should ring alarm bells. I think it's something gamers should want to know about before they decide to get involved with a game. It informs your decisions. I would be really, really hesitant about any game with that kind pricing going on. Despite now having no up-front cost, this failed to appeal to the 120 million+ gamers on Steam. SteamDB showed the game peaked at only 5 concurrent players... this is a dismal public reception. This was so bad they couldn't even give it away. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
You drive a car, collect fruit, avoid obstacles and perform crazy jumps, very simple, yet often quite challenging. Took me about an hour to complete the first 18 levels, then I gave up after 2 hours on level 19. (There are 20 in total, wish there was a way to skip so I could try the last one). If you thought Dark Souls was hard, you should try lvl 19. Bonus points for the artwork! (Dev dumped a bunch of keys in the chat, so consider this review biased)

very funky game , i love it!
This kind of game feel is very rare in today’s gaming landscape. The closest comparison I can make is the classic Elasto Mania (Elma), but Acrobatic Car stands on its own with unique mechanics and a distinct identity. What makes this game special is how rewarding it feels. Discovering creative solutions to each tack, mastering the physics, and practicing until you can consistently pull off advanced tricks and shave seconds off your time is deeply satisfying. Progress is entirely skill-based, and every improvement feels earned. Regular updates and new tracks keep the experience fresh and engaging.
