About
ABYSSAL BLADE is a 2D pixel-art boss rush featuring difficult raid mechanics from high-level MMO raids like FFXIV Savage, WoW Mythic, and Lost Ark Legion raids.
You awaken in the void, burdened by grief. At last, you find the strength to rise. But the path ahead won’t be easy: you only have 1 HP. Take up your blade and break free from the abyss.
Challenge five unique bosses, each embodying one of Kübler-Ross’s stages of grief: Denial, Anger, Bargain, Depression, and Acceptance. Each encounter explores a different emotional struggle, expressed through distinctive mechanics and various gimmicks.
Boss fights take direct inspiration from high-level MMO raid mechanics, featuring cast bars, telegraphed AOEs, and precisely-timed patterns that force you to think outside of the box and act decisively.
Generate mana with every strike, unleashing a full gauge to enter a brief burst window of rapid, high-damaging attacks. When openings appear, time your bursts carefully to deal maximum damage!

its so awesome
fun
Amazing MMO-Raid style game here! Had tons of fun blind progressing the fights. Combat is simple but pushes you to master it especially after post-game. Wish there was even more content beyond what the game originally had. More insane bosses with a crazy amount of mechanics. Hope that the devs continue with their future games into something more like this!

are you done with the savage tier and need something to fill that hole that prog fills? This does that perfectly difficulty probably is 100% dependent on how raid-literate you are, since a whole bunch of mechanics are very xiv-coded - you'll look at them and go "alright close enough welcome back perfect alexander", which is probably exactly what the devs were inspired by and they interpreted it nicely i think i had a lot of fun with it, and i might carry on with the second difficulty option i got through the final boss in about 5 hours, and the thing that killed me most wasn't failing mechanics but greeding heavy attack casts. truly i cannot escape the greed
It's like Final Fantasy XIV's Savage and Ultimate raids, but you only have yourself to blame. It's very inexpensive and doesn't require you to deal with the copious amounts of convoluted systems or the social drama of playing an MMO at high levels. I'd recommend it to anyone who loves the feeling of learning and improving, as you'll have a lot to learn while beating your head against the wall for hundreds of attempts (Insert overdone Dark Souls comparison here [But it does actually feel a bit souls-y, what with the simplified movesets and general vibe]).
Great game, still can't get pass boss no. 2 but that's 👍
One of the best games i can recommend, fun combat, challenging but fair fights, forces you to think more on the bosses move set, and the ost is amazing (Isaak wolf accidentally dragged me here, HIGHLY recommend checking out his music <3) All round at the point of uploading im at the 4th stage and im loving it to bits, following that the other bosses were really well designed and kept throwing things i havent seen often in games. Very highly recommend buying it and getting as far as possible, unless you get angry with bad performance, to which id say give it a try and see if you like it first Edit: STILL in love with this game, no matter what is said its just such a fun game, the thrill of suffering against a boss and then learning over and over how to handle it, then winning and feeling that surge. Im suck now though and im suffering but the post clarity will be worth it
difficult and fun
