About
Ivy searches for her brother, the only person in her life who she could find solace in. They both shared a common dream with their friends... What was it? Anyway, she is now part of the Whitehounds, a fate perhaps worse than death itself.
Mel ran away from Mars during the war, leaving everyone behind to live as a mercenary. She's now a Knight pilot in a shady mercenary group.
History was erased.
Power was rewritten.

The first inter-planetary war between the families under the United Nations of Earth (UNE) and the Democratic Republic of Mars (DRM) has been raging for years. The Empress has gone silent. The balance of power between the families has shifted, and hostility grows from within. What could possibly lie behind the veil ?

Gangs, mercenaries and the Menodora family are constantly clashing for power accross Lily Archipelago, the main region Abyss Veil is set in. Each island has its own rules, vices, and beliefs! But one thing remains true: no matter the blood spilled, the archipelago has never bowed to the UNE! Crazy stuff!!

EasyVacation will take you on a tour of its many sights, from the bombastic warfare you’ll take part in, to the horrifying secrets deep within the archipelago. One thing’s for sure: fun is guaranteed. Survival is optional!
Note: EasyVacation is not responsible for your welfare. If you experience PTSD, war-related trauma, or existential dread, please consider it part of the intended experience!

A very unique, strange and kinda uneven experience, that's so far (having just finished ch. 1) leaving me really curious to see what else this creator makes. ive been kinda describing it as like, "shoegaze / late soundcloud rap Cruelty Squad" to my friends, which isn't 1:1 exactly but kinda gets you there (mostly in terms of being much more lethal than you'd expect given the stripped-back presentation), you can really see the f.e.a.r. influence on the fps portion's sleeve. The writing is....clunky, especially in the first ~1/3 of ch.1, but deeply charming, especially as both a solo project and a first game. You can kinda see the dev work through "how do i write this" in real time as you make your way through the back half of the game, and I'd say it ultimately lands on its feet! even if, admittedly, the characters all have very similar "character voice" in terms of affects and general personality (although again, you see this improve as the game goes on!) Also, mech portions were fun! Kinda samey, but once you get the rhythm of them they Are pretty rad. Trailer theme drop during one of the later segments was genuinely awesome. (the music and backing, in general in this game, are also pretty good, and hits a really particular and specific vibe Really well) Overall I very much recommend checking this game out, I guarantee that it'll have something that will pleasantly surprise you.
This game is certainly not for everyone but if you are an enjoyer of Chris-chan style aesthetics and Life is Strange-esque cornball writing as I am, this game will be kino. The gameplay is a combination of FPS, visual novel and survival horror. The FPS segments are gory fun, clearly inspired by FEAR. The survival horror elements are present only at the beginning and end of the game and serve only to advance the story, but they completely switch up the gameplay, being a copy of early REs with tank controls and jank cam. The story/visual novel is pretty good, though probably not for everyone. The story is convoluted, much like an esoteric anime or fanfic. The lore is quite deep for a game of this caliber and the implications surprisingly dark contrasting against the whimsical art style. While it is unabashedly an indie project, it is clear the dev put a massive amount of thought and passion into the game and that makes it very interesting, certainly one of the more interesting titles I picked up during the spring sale. I would say definitely worth $6 tbh.
nice game!

Brillant ideas Rough, very very rough game Def needed more playtesting for it's length, too much text sometimes, overcomplicated level design or empty huge maps. Sometime it's hard to see what you need to do in order to progress. But the atmosphere is insane, the music is perfect, the writing is so cool, and the art is so unique. I recommend this game for the artistic experience, and i'm waiting for a better part 2 (especially in rythm cause my GOD this was LONG)
This game was really fun and I can't wait for chapter 2. The only two problems I had with it were the movement and some dialogue. I wish there was an option to sprint rather than dash. This didn't bother me at all in the more cramped levels but a majority of the game takes place in wide open areas. Maybe q could be repurposed as dash and sprint could be shift. I don't think the leaning is necessary. The story and character development were great and I'm interested in its direction but I felt like the character interactions weren't always solid. Some situations could have been taken more seriously with less sarcasm. When the dialogue was serious it was good and I wanted more of that. Overall this game has a lot of potential.
The dev definitely shows promise. Manages to create a lot of tension throughout the game. A couple parts are straight horror segments, but even in more traditional action sequences you're sort of a glass cannon so always a bit of dread about if you can get to the next check point. It can actually be a little exhausting by the end of the chapter 1 where you have some long sequences between checkpoints and even longer breaks between main save points. But the tension definitely gives a game a unique feel. You get a significant amount of content for the price. Probably going to get around 8hrs out of the current release which is just chapter 1 out of planned 4. The writing style might not be fore everyone but if you can get in the right mindset the story is enjoyable. The first chapter did a good job of creating a satisfying mini-narrative arc for the main characters; each reach a significant narrative climax. At the same time main plot mysteries are not truly resolved and more are introduced so it does keep you hooked about what might happen in the next chapter. I'm really not sure what to expected from chapter 2 in a good way. Looking forward to it.
Thats what my bloody christmas does to a mf
a deeply strange game that i cannot wait to see more of. an absolute must-play
