A Walk in the Dark

When it wants to work, it's enjoyable. Unfortunately prone to crashes as a result of software decay. Semi-functional on the Steam Deck.

A Walk in the Dark is a good platformer and there are so many levels. However, I had to get used to the controls at first. The steering feels really good, but jumping felt very vague or floaty. If you jump in one direction, you should also commit, as changing direction is more likely to mean death. Nevertheless, I can only recommend the game. The price is also very reasonable.

It's like Super Meat Boy. I really liked how pretty the game looked. I was able to beat it in just under 5 hours, and I'm pretty terrible at it lol.

A Walk in the Dark est un jeu de plateforme quelque basique où les niveaux s’enchaînent sans vraiment de trame narrative. Néanmoins, je trouve le jeu attachant pour son ambiance général et sa musique que je trouve de qualité.

A fun but tough platformer with a fantastic soundtrack. The jumping is floaty, but I think it works well for the game. However, the cave levels are irritating auto-runners where you can only crouch and jump. Crouching doesn't slow you down so you can crouch the whole way and focus on jumping, but jump at the wrong nanosecond and you're back to the start of the level. Everything outside of the cave levels are great though if you like challenging platformers.
