Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1.14/day in the week to Sep 2 → 1.86/day in the week after.

Amazing game, dont listen to bad comments, You just have to put reduce the political difficulty to easy to not have this annoying faction evnts and enjoy ! Battles are epic, the grand compaign is cool
Definitely not worth the price for such little content. Feels like a dlc. Too many things are super similar. Not much differentiation to make things feel different or fun.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 17: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 16 → 1.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I really like this game. I enjoy the smaller scope and the lack of unit variety doesn't bother me at all in this setting. The sieges are some of the best in all of Total War. I enjoy that I can Ultimate Victory the campaign in a weekend, and I don't have to sit through 300 factions at the end of every turn. Obviously this game is not as dense as other TW titles that have much larger scopes, but for me it's a nice relaxed weekend killer where I can establish Scottish dominance while watching The Last Kingdom. Good stuff.
One of the sloggiest Total War titles ever made. So much repetition, poor design choices, bland units and research options. Horrible building options where most seem absolutely obsolete besides a choice few. Tried to grind to get a good chunk of the achievements but its so annoying just chasing an army around to your minor settlements (no garrisons so a single unit can take any of them). I wouldn't buy unless it was under $10 and you might enjoy your first playthrough and that's about it.
This is the worst total war game I played, and I played all of them. I love total war saga in general, but this one is the worst. Gameplay is soooo slow, every basic building takes 4 or more turns to build. But the worst of all are that loyalty points. This game is no more about conquering, but managing, politics and ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥...First total war game I actually do not like at all.
хороша гра, а путі.н ху.й.ло
Bottom line up front: There is one reason I won't recommend this game, and that is the ease with which your lands can be taken without a fight. In other Total War titles, even your small towns have a garrison to rally to fight off an invader, but in ToB, an army can simply sneak into your town and you lose it. This ruins anything you built in the town, and still takes away your provincial dominance. When it happened the first time, I was done.
I really wanted to give this game a chance, I tried playing campaign three or four times and always had to turn it off in disgust. So I will be very pedantic with this one. This is a list of everything wrong with this game in my opinion and this is only after a few hours of gameplay, I imagine it would be much longer after full campaign.

Smaller, dumbed down version of bigger Total War titles, but I don't understand how they can make a game that is simpler but so unintuitive at the same time.
Starting date. Why are we starting ten years after the Great viking army is already defeated and Wessex and Mercia are already established? Where is challenge in this? I don't want to conquer frikin Walles. Also only one starting date afaik.
Campaign camera. Why would I want to conquer Britain when I can't zoom out and see the Island? If your game engine limits you so much in this regard then stop making strategy games.
Dumb missions and victory conditions, oCcUpY 120 sEtTlEmEnTs, so original
Ugly chaotic UI that clearly focuses on being stylish rather than being informative, but fails on both counts. I can play grand strategy games ten times more complex and still can find what I want much faster than here.
Horrible looking character portraits, and videos, again trying to be stylish but looks like crap.
Emblems, banners (if you can even call them that) are so small, ugly and low res, they are so tiny that I can't even see them on my display properly. Its like Creative Assembly are trying to mock history.
No religions, no cultures, even though this was supposed to be a cultural and religious conflict, neither is implemented in the game. Instead we have a food system, that is only there to drag things longer.
Blurry visuals, every menu, unit or tree looks so blurry that if feels like I'm playing on lower resolution.
Ugly washed out color palette in battles.
Mostly flat terrain on both campaign map and in battles, boring.
1/10, absolute garbage, if you ever think about wasting your money on this game, then don't
