A free hidden object VR game that was a ton of fun but criminally short. After completing the game, a message from the dev says that they're working on more levels but since this game released in 2020 and there hasn't been any updates on Steam, the game most likely has been abandoned.

"A Shopping Trip to Eklan Tor" is a tech demo designed to advertise another game from the same developer, except the developer couldn't work out how to make that game, so all we get is this proof of concept VR demo. In fact the most amusing part of this simple tech demo is not hunting for hidden objects in a small monster infested town named "Eklan Tor", but that the developer was charging money for it. Well, that's what happens when Itch fails in the one job it has, containing amateur made game to keep the rest of the gaming industry quality higher than it otherwise would be. In terms of visuals, this features fairly low quality low poly 3D visuals which will deter a lot of gamers, understandably. Gaming is a visual medium, and while some developers struggle with creating high quality visuals, failing to do so is a disservice to gamers. It's very difficult to recommend bad looking games. It's VR exclusive, and that shows the developer failed to understand the most basic axiom of VR game design... if the only cool thing about your product is VR support, your product is not cool. It's free... now, but it wasn't before. The developer was charging $3 USD for this. Price barriers, especially on low quality products, can be a direct cause of failure. It's a nice gesture for the game to be given away for free, but it also tells us that the game wasn't good enough to succeed as a paid product. Bearing in mind that free games don't add +1 to your game collector count, should you bother adding this to your library and downloading it? Not this time. This isn't worth downloading. While this won't cost you any money, you get what you pay for, and sometimes, even when the game is free, it's still not enough.
Cute and short VR game I liked touching the beetle that opened its wings, lit up, and played an awful buzzing noise in my left ear.

Interessantes Spielprinzip. Benötigt aber viel Platz!
Cute and fun. I didn't manage to find the Melon, but I did find the other 14 items. I encountered a bug: I couldn't 'open' a particular building again, at some point. Not a showstopper, but unfortunate. At the low price of free, this game is a bargain.
