Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 9.29/day in the week to Aug 23 → 13.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About
Build your city into the most powerful of all kingdoms through endless combinations of buildings, units, spells, and positioning. Take advantage of chaotic combos and powerful perks to break the game and become overpowered. Grow your kingdom in strategic ways, prepare for dozens of unique events, and show the world your kingdom can outlast all others in both single and async multiplayer.

From humble village to massive citadel, your capital recruits your units and grows their power. Expand your kingdom strategically over time and build it to survive decades of war and strife.

From sturdy knights and warlocks, to glass cannon wizards and bombers, to hordes of fiendish imps and sentient mushrooms, there are dozens of units to lead and fight. Stockpile gold to hire thousands of mercenaries to your cause, use dark magic to raise the dead, and harness nature itself to bring down your enemies!

Each of the kings has a different starting deck of buildings, troops, and spells, but you can loot the rival kings who attack your lands to access cards from their unique decks. Make peace with those whose units don’t fit your playstyle, and declare war against kings with the powers and units you covet, deploying the tools acquired from your enemy to unlock countless combinations of stacking buffs and modifiers to build an invincible army.

Async multiplayer mode pits you against eight rival kings to see whose kingdom survives the longest. Climb the ranks and prove yourself to truly be the king of kings, complete with cosmetic customization using rewards you’ve unlocked through daily challenges and medals earned along the way.
Quest Mode introduces unique mechanics-bending challenges as you travel the known world and face off against its kings to collect their crowns for yourself.
Endless Mode has you choose a king and face endless attacks from enemy kings and their most powerful warriors – how long can you survive the onslaught?
Combine your cards in endless ways – try out insane builds and watch massive armies fight for your crown, survive as long as you can against increasingly powerful enemies, or break the game and watch all challengers crumble before you.

good
Really well made Roguelike with a little base-building, auto-battler, and deck building sprinkled in. If you like any of those gameplay elements you'll like this.

Fun little tower defense game that plays like a mobile. Worth it for the price
HOW MANY DIFFICULTIES UNTIL I GET TO KING MA. WHATS THE HIGHEST DIFFICULTY???? otherwise? great game worth your time
nice
Slay the Spire meets tower defense, and after one evening it already has its hooks in me
Recommended. I want to be straight up front: I am early here, about 80 minutes in with one full run under my belt on the King of Nothing, reviewed on Early Access build 0.9.2.2 (Steam). But I have played enough strategy games and deckbuilders to know when something has me, and this one does. I will update as I sink more time in, but the thumbs up is not in question.
What it actually is
The fastest way I can describe 9 Kings is Slay the Spire crossed with a tower defense game. Not a Bloons style tower defense, this is very much its own thing. You build out your little kingdom on a grid, draft cards, and then waves of enemies come at what you have set up. If you like Slay the Spire, you owe it to yourself to look at this one.
Placement is everything
It took me a few runs to really see the strategy of it, and honestly that is a good thing. The "aha" moment is realizing how much placement matters. You cannot just slap your units and buildings down wherever you feel like. Every square can buff the squares around it, so where you put a card will make or break your run. You really have to think hard about it. Once that clicked for me the whole game opened up, and I went from reacting to actually playing.
The replayability is genuinely nuts
Here is the part that sold me. You start with your own nation's cards, but when you beat an enemy's attack you take their cards. So your deck is constantly building itself out of whoever you just fought, and no two runs come together the same way. I am going to nerd out for a second. You know how 52! (fifty-two factorial) means that any shuffled deck of playing cards you are holding has, statistically, almost certainly never existed before in the history of the world? That is the kind of variety this game has, except multiplied out exponentially past even that. Every single run I have done has been its own animal. I beat it once with the King of Nothing and immediately wanted to go again and do the whole thing differently.
Easy to play, hard to master, and it respects your time
This is the sweet spot for me. It is genuinely easy to pick up, but mastering it is a whole other story. It moves fast, which I love, but here is the kicker: during the decision making stage you can take all the time you want. There is no clock pressure while you are planning. You think through your strategy at your own pace, then it kicks back into the fast, satisfying part. That balance is just about perfect.
Runs great, looks great
Zero performance issues, which I figured would be the case for a minimalist pixel game, but I will say it anyway: a complete non-event on my rig, no hitches, no nothing. And I genuinely love the pixel art look. It has real style to it. (Rig for reference: Ryzen 9 7950X, Radeon RX 7900 XTX 24GB, 64GB DDR5.)
A smart touch on multiplayer
I have stuck to solo so far, but I noticed you cannot even jump into multiplayer until you have progressed a bit in the game first. I actually really appreciate that. It means when you do go online you are not a total noob fumbling the basics, and the folks you are playing with will not be either. More games should gate their multiplayer like this.
Bottom line
Nothing bothered me. Nothing. I sat down for what was supposed to be a quick look and surfaced 80 minutes later having beaten a run and immediately wanting another one. If you like Slay the Spire, and you like games that are easy to play but hard to master, this is well worth the money. It just works. Love it. Reviewed on Early Access build 0.9.2.2, solo, King of Nothing.
O jogo é ótimo mas o multiplayer atualmente está EXTREMAMENTE bugado.
