About

"8AM" plunges the player into an enigmatic and tense game of observation and decision under an unfathomable veil of mystery. In this game, you find yourself in a stark room, devoid of any memory or knowledge of your purpose or how you arrived there. The only companions in your solitary vigil are a set of devices and a computer, your window to the outside world, connecting you exclusively to the security camera system of a seemingly ordinary house.
The house is inhabited by a family whose life appears to proceed normally until the clock strikes midnight. From that moment, as the hours slip towards dawn, you become a witness to a series of events that could be classified as ordinary or deeply disturbing. The nature of these occurrences varies widely, from ghostly figures slipping through the corridors in the darkness, manifestations of paranormal activity that defy all logic, to the strange behaviors of the family members, like sleepwalking, which could hide something more sinister.
Your task is simple yet immensely complicated: to determine whether what you are witnessing is a manifestation of the supernatural or mere coincidences and everyday events interpreted through a prism of isolation and tension. There are no clear answers, nor are you provided with tools to investigate or influence events. Your judgment is your only guide in this dark task.
Every correct decision you make brings you one step closer to your final goal: reaching 8:00 a.m. and, with it, your liberation. But what does "correct" truly mean in a world where reality intertwines with the incomprehensible? There are no truths to unravel, only the growing anxiety that each choice could be as right as it is wrong.
"8AM" is a challenge to perception, a game that forces you to question reality and face the uncertainty of the night. With each passing night and every decision you make, you not only draw closer to liberation but also delve deeper into the mystery of the human condition and the nature of reality itself. This game not only challenges you to observe but also to reflect on what it means to be a spectator of the lives of others, isolated yet intimately linked to their fate.

"Spot the anomaly" horror game where you, as a night watchman, observe surveillance cameras and detect disturbing changes in order to survive until 8:00 AM. ✅The game features 164 different anomalies ✅Good sound ✅No time pressure when analyzing cameras; you can make decisions without worry ✅Good graphics for a low-budget project ❌Very boring gameplay, consisting solely of spotting differences ❌Small number of truly successful and creative anomalies ❌The price is too high ❌No logical connection between subsequent hours and events ❌Monotonous gameplay loop (constantly observing cameras ❌❌ Verdict: [strike] Terrible [/strike], [b] Bad [/b], [strike] Mediocre [/strike], [strike] Decent [/strike], [strike] Good [/strike], [strike] Very Good [/strike] (Rating scale for tested game) [quote] If you'd like to see more of my reviews, you can find them on my curator page:[url=https://store.steampowered.com/curator/45994324/admin/reviews_manage/]CuratorKingViking[/url] and on my group: [url=https://steamcommunity.com/groups/CuratorKingViking]GroupKingViking[/url] If you have any questions about my reviews, feel free to ask. I wouldn't call this a horror game. There's no story or backstory to piece together through the cameras, so there's no real incentive to examine each one carefully, you just get random scenes every hour in the same house/background, with little to no coherence from one hour to the next. The gameplay loop (check cameras, answer yes or no, check cameras again...) quickly becomes repetitive, and the beeping sound between camera switches got annoying pretty fast. Why isn't there an option to adjust the audio volume? I paid less than a dollar for it, and even that felt like too much.
it keeps the excitement down a bit, it's such a dark atmosphere. certainly an interesting disclosure of the story with the choice of events
I got this game when it was free for a short time, which is cool and all for an observation game. However it being 5$ CAD regular price is too much for a game that's this poorly done -- The anomalys are too obvious (people standing at windows, kids missing from rooms, people missing entirely), and the game is far too short with little replay value even if you are aiming for 100% achivements. Although, even then, with 164 diffrent anamolys to find, the replyablity for the 100% completion is far too boring even for a game of the hidden object genre which often don't have much replayablity at all edit; spelling errors
I don't tecommend this as a paid game. Somehow, I only spent 10 minutes to beat it, where I got "8 AM" achievement. There's no actual horror or suspense. The jumpscares usually happen after you answer "Yes" or "No," which is completely out of place.
Insulting that this game costs money, total asset flip. Anomalies are obvious and none are scary, game is short as all hell, yet packed with so many "anomalies" (people standing up from bed) that earning all achievements is a pain.
There's no context, no explination whats going on or what you're supposed to do. Just a bunch empty rooms on cctv. And why is this game 6GB in size? its just 16 low quality rooms that you view over and over?
The game itself is just look and guess. It has a jump scare feature which just makes the game worse in my opinion by randomly putting a “scarry” person in the room where you say yes or no. Next to that is that the audio is bad whereby you can even hear when it loops because it just gives a loud tick sound. And the thing that really makes this game bad is to get all 3 achievements you need to find all the 163 anomalies which aren’t that hard to get just constantly press yes past 0:00AM and you will get it, but why must it be so many for such a short game. I would not recommend buying this game unless it’s free!
