fun little game not much to say if it looks like youd like it you probably will
Fun game that brings me back to MegaMan X. Graphics are rough (as seen in the trailer) but is to be expected. I love that the player has to actively think critically about their moveset and which enemies to fight first to acquire their abilities while also utilizing an RPG style battle system. The dialogue is hilarious and the music is full of sweet tunes that don't overstay their welcome.
6/10
Completely fine little JRPG "Boss Rush"; effectively like skipping all the random battle and adventure, jumping straight to the dungeon bosses, and making a game based on that. Every battle basically feels like a puzzle, since you can't underlevel/overlevel to brute force anything, so finding the gimmick to overcome is key. The story is (for the most part) very lighthearted and immature, but Toku fans or JRPG fans will probably dig finding the right abilities to solve the puzzle combats.
Seems pretty boring at first glance, and that's coming from someone who loves turn-based rpgs. Give it a go anyways, it's a fun experience
This game was FANTASTIC! Sailor moon but power ranger vibes, but played like a RPG that made me think of megaman. LOTS of nostalgia here, but funny dialog, interesting combat and a decent story help this game shine and stand out! And its only $5? Buy now!!!
This game's a pretty fun experience. The characters have a lot of personality and the gameplay is cool. Some of the bosses are pretty easy, but some of them are pretty damn tough, which makes defeating them very satisfying. It's pretty damn nice for a $5 game made by one guy.
I very much enjoy this game quite a bit. Have not gotten into the extra modes as of the time of this review, but have beaten both chapter 1 and 2. The cast are very nice, love that the battles are more puzzle based and makes you stop to think out your moves. Would recommend this to anyone looking for a short rpg.
This game is great. It’s like mega man crossed with power rangers crossed with jrpg crossed with puzzle elements and an enjoyable story. Chapter 2 provided twists/mix ups that I did not see coming, but were incredibly well done. I hope there’s a chapter 3 or a sequel.
It's cheap and the writing is exceptional. Definitely worth it. 8/10
