This is the best pixel rpg that I have played so far. Its really good, I love the story, the characters, the battle mechanics and I am really invested in the world building. Also really like the item and skill descriptions. Keep it up!
Everything you could want from an 8-Bit style RPG. I got 100% completion and enjoyed every second of it.
I am ashamed to say this, I did pirate this game for a little bit, but I loved it so much, I had to buy it, that is why I have so little hours here. This game is amazingly fun and simple, love me some old school pixel art, and don't get me started on the OST. I can't say much without spoiling it besides what is in the description, but it's worth a shot for anyone who likes turn based games, I don't and I really liked it, so :)
They put some time into this game. The story is great and the gameplay is nostalgic. 10/10 would recommend for jrpg lovers
A true retro RPG with modern QOL improvements. Don't let the bad name fool you this game has a great story, good combat and the graphics and music are a great callback to the NES era. My one complaint about the game is sometimes the dialog drags on. I love all the world building through dialog but sometimes they will throw out 2 minutes of dialog for something that could've been a single line of text. Other than that a fantastic game and any retro turn based fan should not miss this one.
https://youtu.be/IXEB4iLe0d0 A few of the bits are rather slow to get going the majority are well crafted to bring some modern features back into older structures.
Hours aren't accurate, been playing for about 10-15 hours on my steam deck in offline mode. Haven't beaten the game yet, but the quality of this one is pretty astonishing. Saw a random redditor heap praises on it and decided to give it a try, glad I did. This is a very fun JRPG, with a satisfying and engaging story. Way up there in terms of quality. I'd honestly compare it to chained echoes in terms of overall quality, but with the very different 8 bit style. Highly recommend it for any JRPG fans. I don't really have any complaints other than that it will probably be difficult to 100% due to it not being very well known, there are not many guides for the game. This is obviously not a knock on the game itself. I definitely think the game deserves more attention.
Un excelente JRPG inspirado por los grandes del género de la época de SNES. Si hubiera salido 30 años antes sería un clásico al nivel de Chrono Trigger.
Better than the original in every way. Still playing this one, but the improvements are immediately apparent - deeper combat, better pacing, and an even more engaging story. The developer clearly listens to feedback and keeps leveling up.
I wanted to give this a chance because of the nostalgia for me, but its like they made a 8-bit game with less quality of life things that RPGs in the 2020s should have even if its 8 bit. I only give it a thumbs up because that style was my jam when I was a kid, so if they make another one, maybe they can stop limiting themselves to 8 bit User Interface ideas...
